6: The Instagram Post

Charlie sighed as he layed on his back on Tao's bed. Tao came in the room with a concerned look in his face. "Hey, er did you check instagram?"

Charlie looked up and saw Tao's expression. "Oh god." he took his phone that was next to him and opened instagram. Lucas's post appeared first with a heart for a caption.

he took a picture of their 'kiss' in the bar and posted it on Instagram. "Fuck! Asshole!"

"Yeah, and did you see who liked it? Ben Hope."

Charlie sighed. "Okay this is not good. Ben still has Nick's number for emergencies."

"Do you think he saw it?" Tao asks.

Charlies phone rang. He picked it up and then threw it at the wall. "It's Nick!"

"Maybe he's calling for something else. Maybe he wants to know how your day is?"

Charlie was walking around the room nervously. "It's 6 pm, that's not it." He walked over to the wall where his phone was and grabbed it. "Yeah-"

"CHARLIE WHAT THE FUCK! WE'RE IN A BIT OF A DISTANCE AND YOU GO AND KISS OTHER PEOPLE?" Nick was screaming at the top of his lungs.

Tao saw the change in charlie's expressions. "It's not my fault-"

"Did you kiss him?" His voice was calm. Charlie didn't like it. He was just screaming for all England to hear.

"He took my chin and kissed it, I didn't give him consent, I slapped him afterwards."

He heard Nick sigh at the other side. That wasn't a good sign. "You see, now I don't know if I can trust you."

"Yeah, well I can't trust you either! Tao called you again, and I think your butt answered. We heard a girl there with you when you were playing beer pong!"

"What, Delilah?" he heard Nick laughing. "She has a girlfriend! See, I'm not the type to kiss random people, and I thought you weren't either." he heard a click. Nick hung up.

Tao who had heard everything smiled. "Well, it could've been worse."

Charlie turned to him in tears. "Worse? It is worse! Nick doesn't trust me, lucas is a bitch, everything is my fault. As usual."

Tao wanted to say something but he felt like whatever he was gonna say, it wouldn't matter. Charlie is a stubborn person and he rarely listens to people who aren't Nick.

"Cmon mate, you're reading too much into it." Noah said, sitting next to Nick on his bed. They were both staring at the post with Lucas and Charlie kissing. "I bet you he didn't want to kiss Lucas.

"I knew he was insecure, but that insecure that he'd think I was gonna cheat on him with Delilah? I really thought he trusted me."

Delilah came in the room and looked at both of them. "Why are yall so miserable."

Nick showed Delilah the post and then layed on his back. "I don't know if I can trust him anymore."

"Wait, did Charlie actually kiss someone else?"

"My butt responded to one of their calls when we were playing beerpong heard you, and thought I was kissing some girl. I explained to him that you have a girlfriend but he's just so insecure."

"Have yall tried to take some time between you?"

Nick sighed. "Charlie's mental health would probably be shit and he would relapse. If I just drop this on him 2000 km away, I'm scared of what he could do."

"Okay listen." Delilah took Nick's phone and put it on the desk. "It's not your job to care for his mental health. He may be your boyfriend but you have your own life. He has family there with him. He has friends right? They can take care of him. You are starting a new chapter in your life. Take the chance."
