Chapter 2: Betrayal

"The only people who are able to enter this building are me, Yukio, Master Hanzo, and you girls. I don't want to believe it, but one of us must have stolen the scroll." Kiriya replied.

"One of us?!" Everyone exclaimed.

The room suddenly went silent. Yukio could feel the tense atmosphere within the room. He wanted to say something, but he knew that whatever he said could make the atmosphere worse.

"For now, everyone head back to their dorms. I will decide what to do next. Try to relax yourselves for now." Kiriya said.

The girls left the classroom, leaving Yukio with Kiriya.

Now, I should tell him.

"Um...Kiriya-Sensei." Yukio got Kiriya's attention. "I have something to share with you."

"What is it, Yukio?" Kiriya asked.

"My Soul Travel ability reactivated yesterday. I have to tell you about what I saw." Yukio responded.

"Yesterday?! We haven't talked about your ability for some time, and it suddenly came back?" Kiriya said in disbelief.

"I know, I don't know why it happened now of all times. At least, I can tell you what I saw." Yukio offered.

Kiriya sighed. "Alright, let me hear it."

Yukio told Kiriya about his first flashback, about Haruka being sent here, and Hebijo's plan with the scrolls.

"So they are gonna reawaken the Yoma." Kiriya said to himself.

"The demon inside the scroll?! That must be it." Yukio added.

"So this 'Haruka' girl somehow infiltrated our school, despite not being able to get in?" Kiriya still didn't believe Yukio's story.

"That's all it showed me, Sensei. I was unable to see how she did it." Yukio was disappointed in his own response.

"That's not enough clues to jump to a conclusion, Yukio." Kiriya said.

"I know, but maybe we're just missing something. Maybe there was some kind of hint back when they attacked." Yukio tried to think back to the evil ninja attack.

Let's see, was there something about my fight with Haruka? All I remember is her beating me up, and Hibari had to tell her to stop. Wait, why did she stop when Hibari told her to?

"Wait, I think I remember something." Kiriya said, catching Yukio off-guard.

"O-Ok, what is it?" Yukio asked.

"There were wooden life-sized puppets outside the barrier. I remember that before the attack happened, two boys were standing right outside the building, I went to make them leave, but they ended up turning into puppets." Kiriya said, enthusiastically. "You might be right, Yukio."

"What do you mean?" Yukio didn't quite understand.

"This Haruka girl was probably the one who sent those puppets. If she has the ability to control people as puppets, she might've been able to control someone or something from the inside." Kiriya explained.

"Hmm...oh, like one of us?" Yukio finally caught on.

"Exactly, she must've used someone to take the scroll." Kiriya concluded. "Now the question is, who did she use?"

"Hmm..." Yukio continued thinking.

I don't want to think this, but Haruka might have done something to Hibari back in the barrier. She might have used some kind of mind control thing to use Hibari.
