It's now October 30th and tomorrow is Halloween I promised to take the kids trick or treating. They're dressing up as ghostbusters and they are making dress up as a ghost. It's been a few months since I've started hanging out with Billy and I got to know Maxine. Maxine is really sweet girl with a fiery personality. I like her and she's been talking to the party and she's been getting along with Will. I don't think Mike likes her, though. I feel like he think Maxi is trying to replace El. It's been a little rough Nancy and Mike have been arguing with mom. Mom has told me that she's getting sick and tired of them and with Holly and dad not helping it's been worse. So much stress going on here. The only time I can get way is with Maxi, Billy, Will or going up to the hill. See you tomorrow y/n Wheeler.
I was walking out of class when Tina gave me a flyer. Tina's Halloween Bash Oct 31st 8pm it read. "Come, it's the last Halloween party of you high school days you have to go" she said excited. "No way I can't go. I have to take the kids trick or treating" I said an arm was sneaking around my shoulder. The smell is cinnamon and cigarettes. "Aw, come on you have to go" he whined jokingly. I shake my head. "Why can't you ask Jonathan to take them" said Tina. "Nuh no way I am not talking to that creep" I said a bit too fast "and it's not like I mind I love the kids." "Alright I'll tell him" stated Billy like the most obvious thing in the world.
By pure coincidence Jonathan happened to be walking by. I shook my head desperately. I gave him a look that said 'don't do it'. He walked towards him with a smug face. "Hey Byers" he yelled.
It wasn't often you see the guy trying to take 'King Steve' title talk to the schools 'Creep'. So the people in the hallway stopped to see what was going to happen.
Jonathan not used to being the center of attention looked down at his feet. I looked around and saw Nancy and Steve latched on to each other. Steve's face was confused while Nancys was worried. "Uhhh yeah how can I help you" Jonathan said timidly. Billy looked at me and turned back to Byers. "So here the thing. You know Wheeler, right? Great. So you know how she's supposed to take the kids trick or treating. She wants to go to the party tomorrow night and I bet a guy like you has nothing to do that night other than being stuck in your house all night. So do us a favor and take them trick or treating" he said and with out giving him time to respond. He walked back to me and Tina. He latched on his arm around my hip. As he basically dragged me way.
Time skip brought by y/n being embarrassed
It's the end of the day. Like usual ever since Billy came I walk with him to my car. Today it's Billy, Carol, Tommy and I walking. Ever since the whole Will and Barb thing Tommy distance himself from Steve. Now they are complete strangers. Steve and I used hold short conversation and now we don't even look at each other. Carol has been distant from Tommy and me. I feel like they broke up but who knows.
I look around, it's a bit of habit it's like paranoia, and see Steve and Nancy by his car. Jonathan walking off to his car and driving off with out Will. Which was odd since today I drove Mike to school and if one get driven all of them do as well.
I see Maxi walking over to Billy's car ready to leave. "Oh, hey y/n" she greeted. "Hey ummm Maxi" I paused for her to say something but she stayed silent "have you seen Mike or Will" I asked looking around for them. "I saw Mike but I didn't see Will" she said confused. I was looking around worried for them until I saw them both walking to me. "You jerks. Where were you two?" I asked starting to calm myself. "Relax y/n/n we just caught up in a conversation and lost track of time" said Mike unfazed. "Why can't you two be like Maxi" I replied annoyed. "Let's go. Bye Billy see you tomorrow" I said walking of to my car. I saw Will just standing there as if he were waiting for something or rather someone. "Will come on you too" I said sweetly. "I'm good. I'll wait for Jonathan " he reasoned. "Will, he left a while ago" I told him. He looked down at his feet with sad eyes. Mike went up to him a dragged him by the shoulder. He looked so broken like he was second way from crying. "Hey, come I'm sure he didn't mean too" Mike told him trying to lighten the situation. Mike and Will both went back seat. I pulled off to the Byers residence.
