Part 2 ~ Phoebe Nickels; the weird metal kid

Before the RMIMA, and before that Christmas party with the metal cupcakes, the name Nickels (albeit common) was the name of the lead singer in the girl group "Nickel to Spare". Their shtick? Collectable coins. These "Nickels" would rain down over the crowds, floating into the hands of rabid teenagers. Each coin would display a moving clip from the concert, some concerts had more valuable coins than others, and not every coin was the same. This was all possible to the lead singer and her family's power of manipulating metal. The Nickel's were wealthy, but not crazy wealthy. Their true rescores was their connections. The Nickel's knew everyone, and made sure anyone who was anyone knew them personally. Getting Granddad Nickel's favorite grand daughter a career in the music industry was no problem. They knew the head of the largest record label in the union 

When the baby was born they found out that it had used mercury to build itself, the silvery baby wasn't covered in  metal, it was metal. Form-altring talents aren't rare, but this was. The doctors ran tests on the new child trying to figure out what it was, drawing blood samples and taking cheek swaps to see her cells. it turns out the baby, now named Phoebe, was built not only of metal but also of organic material. requiring a diet of human food and metal to maintain herself. Unfortunately, the weight of the phoebe had wrecked her mother, damaging almost every organ in the vicinity. Phoebe was the last child to be born to the pair. 

Phoebe grew up much like any wealthy child who grew up in a major city. All of her classmates were the children of some famous people and most of them were born to the illegal practice of influenced breeding. Making a child with a unique or better talent for the chance of power and upward mobility. No one got picked on because of their talents at these fussy rich kid schools because they knew that someone would point out that they were only here to be a weapon for their daddy and that shut people up fast. Phoebe was generally liked in these schools, she was hot, charismatic, and friendly. If asked she would tell you about how she was never bullied, and how she had 2 loving parents, that were still together. 

Some of her favorite memories are when her parents sat her and her brother down and had them rewatch all their old media as a family, giving the two children behind the scenes on a movie, or some fact about that actor. Phoebe watched everything that she could about her parents and she watched the interviews where they said they wanted a big family. Sure she had plenty of "aunts " and "uncles". They come with their fair share of "cousins" but she told herself that they were superficial and she had ruined her parent's life because she was the last child. 

Phoebe doesn't really have opiniones because of that, choosing to be as neutral as possible, to be as least a bother as possible. She almost never gave her opinion about where to eat, and trying to figure out what she gifts she wanted for her birthday was like pulling teeth.  In a lot of ways she became like metal, always bending and reshaping to be whatever was needed at the time. 

she over achieved because that's what everyone around her wanted for her, she went to RMIMA because she thought thats what her parents wanted. She agreed to be in a double instead of the normal 5 person dorm to be as little trouble as possible. 

Phoebe came to RMIMA because thats what she thought others wanted. But quickly Phoebe needs to figure out what she wants, what she wants to be.
