"Josie you need help I'm going to call Hope", Lizzie said whisper yelling at her sister. "No I don't need her help she wanted to walk away from me, and our relationship. That was her decision. I can live with the consequences of it." Josie said whisper yelling back at her sister, her eyes getting glossy, from all her emotions she's been trying to hold back.
That conversation was a year ago. A year and ten months since Josie last saw Hope. Hope the woman Josie thought she would live her life with, the woman Josie thought was her true epic love. But some things just don't work out.
Josie has came a long way since then... or maybe not. She's now at a birthday party, rolling her eyes listening to a very annoying Lizzie, ramble on about none other then Hope Mikaelson. "I just think Hope should know Jo. I'm a heretic now. We don't have to do the merge anymore. You're not going to die and neither am I. This could change things", Lizzie said excitedly at the fact that no one is going to die. "Do you remember how we had this conversation a year ago? You said that I needed help, and look at me now... look at us now, we don't need help and we don't need Hope for that matter! It's been almost two years!" Josie yelled the last part frustrated, everyone's eyes darted at her.
Josie smiled and waved at them, they all gave her knowing looks, "I don't need Hope okay!" Josie told the crowed of people staring, they either nodded their heads or rolled their eyes and went back to enjoying the party. "Lizzie stop annoying your sister about Hope. She doesn't want Hope in her life and in Kayliope's. She has that right as her mother", Caroline said handing Josie her daughter. "Thanks mom", Josie said sticking her tongue out at Lizzie.
Lizzie rolled her eyes at her sister. "Whatever it's time for cake. Now give me my niece", Lizzie said annoyed at her sister. "No she's my daughter, it's her first birthday she's doing her cake with me", Josie snapped back at her sister. Kayliope started crying from her mothers tenseness, "Look what you did Elizabeth!" Josie said to Lizzie, walking away. Lizzie looked confused, "What did I do?" Caroline shook her head, MG sighed saying, "I ask myself that same question everyday." Lizzie smacked MG up the head, "Ow" the man hissed.
Shortly after doing the cake everyone left, leaving Caroline, MG, and Lizzie at Josie's house helping her clean up. "I've got to head back to the school. I'll see you in a couple of days Josie. And I'll see you two when use get back from your trip", Caroline said giving her daughters and MG a hug goodbye then leaving. "Yeah I'm about done here. I think we're going to head out soon", Lizzie said wanting to get out of her sisters house as quick as she possibly can.
"What do mean Lizzie we still have to clean the kitchen, we're nowhere near done", MG chuckled. Lizzie death stared MG which turned him silent. "It's fine if use want to go use can", Josie sighed cleaning up as she went. Lizzie and MG shared a look, then vamped to the kitchen cleaning it as fast as they could. Josie giggled, "Thanks guys use didn't have too."
MG hugged Josie greeting her goodbye, "We wanted too. I'll see you and Kayliope when we get back." Lizzie walked up to Josie standing in front of her, "Yeah we'll see you soon. We get back from Europe in two weeks, so I expect lots of pictures of my niece in that time. Also I'm sorry Jo, it's not my place to say anything. Especially how everything ended between use too. I-."
Josie brought Lizzie into a hug cutting her off from speaking, "It's okay Liz, you're just being my sister, and a good one at that. But please understand Hope choose to walk away with no explanation, she made that decision. So now I'm making mine. And I'm making it for me and Kayliope." Josie told her twin seriously. "I understand Jo, I'm sorry for overstepping", Lizzie apologised. "It's okay. Have fun in Europe. Send me photos as well", Josie said walking Lizzie to the front door, saying their goodbyes to each other.
"What? Why are you looking at me like that?" Lizzie asked her boyfriend, as she got into the car. "You're up to something Saltzman. What is it?" MG asked his girlfriend. "I'm going to make Josie realise just how wrong she is", Lizzie giggled. "Lizzie I heard what you said to Josie and what Josie said to you. That isn't right." MG scolded the blonde. "I'm not going to tell Hope anything. I'm just going to convince her to come back", Lizzie declared, pushing her hair behind her shoulder.
"Lizzie", MG scolded giving his girlfriend a look saying 'please don't do what you're about to do'. "Silencia", Lizzie whispered making MG's mouth disappear. Taking out her phone Lizzie dialled Hope, whose number came up straight away since Lizzie did keep her promise. Lizzie calls Hope at least once a week to annoy her.
The phones ringing made Lizzie grow impatient, until her sisters ex finally picked up.
"Look who decided to finally pick up."
"You had to wait 10 seconds, get over it. What do you want you've already called me once this week, why am I getting a second?"
"Well with that attitude I'm going to give you a longer explanation. MG and I are going to Europe to celebrate our four year anniversary. Which could have been you and Josie, if you didn't break up with my sister."
"Lizzie I'm this close to hanging up on you."
"You won't. You and I both know it, you're so love sick over my sister you'll do anything to get a taste of her. And as of right now I'm the closest thing you'll ever get."
"......"
"That's what I thought. Now back to what I was saying. It's our four year anniversary, and because we feel bad for poor single lonely Josie she's coming with us. Which leads me to my question... or favour which ever suits you best."
"Mmmhmm I'm listening."
"Will you be able to come to the school from wherever you are and help my mom out, in a couple of days. She's short three people. Pleaseeee."
"What's in this for me?"
"I'm sure there are some photos of Josie laying around, maybe refresh your memory of what my sister looks like."
"Very funny. Well considering that I have nothing better to do... fine. But Josie is definitely going with use?"
"Yes. She's very excited, I'm actually driving. I'm on my way to pick her up from her house, so we can make our way to the airport."
"As long as Josie isn't going to be there I'm in. I don't want to see her."
"Whatever. Thanks for all your help short stuff. I'll call you next week, or you call me whatever works best."
"Bye Lizzie."
"Bye Hop-"
*Hope hangs up on Lizzie*
"She hung up on me, she seriously just did that", Lizzie said annoyed at the tribrid. MG started aggressively pointing at his mouth, "I'll siphon the spell away only if you promise not to say anything to Josie." MG nodded his head in agreement, and Lizzie siphoned the spell off of MG's mouth.
"But-", MG started getting cut off by the blonde, "If you tell Josie, no sex ever again." MG sighed in response. "Speaking of sex, Josie really needs to get some. Maybe Hope can help her with that", Lizzie chuckled as MG began driving the two to the airport for their anniversary vacation.
