I was in the star court mall, Billy's screams echoing around us. "Billy!" Max screamed running over to him, the Mind flayer reached out to grab me as well.

I sat up, breathing heavy. I put my hands up to my mouth to hopefully stop the sound of my crying so I didn't wake Eddie. My body was hunched over my knees and I was shaking. This was a constant nightmare I've had since that day. My breaths began to shake as I felt myself going into a panic attack. I was trying to convince myself to move so I could go in the bathroom and not wake him up. But before I could I felt a hand on my back which made me scream. I slightly turned around to see Eddie awake, I turned back around not wanting him to see me cry. He sat up and rubbed my back. I couldn't hide my tears anymore, I just broke down. "C'mere," he said, his voice raspy. He was sitting up against the wall and I scooted close to him, I put my legs over his lap, my body still slightly hunched over my knees and I was crying into his chest. "You're okay, you're safe. It was just a bad dream." he rubbed the back of my head and held me tightly with his other hand. I continued to cry into him for a while before I finally calmed down. I wrapped my arms around his neck and sat on his lap hugging him tightly. "I'm sorry," I said still crying a little bit. "For what?" he asked. "For waking you up," he sighed, "Do not apologize for that, ever. You needed comfort, I'm here for you always," His words making me cry harder again. I placed my face in the crook of his neck. He hugged my waist tighter, "Thank you," I said in-between cries. "Of course, I'm always gunna be here," "Eddie I need to tell you something and I'm sorry if you don't feel the same way and I know its soon-" he cut off my ramble, "Just say it Skye," "I love you Eddie," He pulled my face out of his neck so he could look at me, he cupped my face wiping my tears with his thumbs. "Skye I have been in love with you for years," "Yeah?" "Yeah." we both smiled. I kissed him and when I pulled away I rested his my head on his forehead. "Here," he said moving to where he was laying down, me still on top of him. I laid my head on his chest and his hands wrapped around my waist lying on my back. My breathing was still shaky so he rubbed my back. I couldn't even close my eyes, I was too scared that I would go back into that nightmare.

I waited a bit and Eddie still wasn't asleep. "Why aren't you sleeping," I whispered. "I'm waiting for you to fall asleep," he whispered back. "You have school tomorrow, go to sleep," I said. "I'll skip," he was smiling as I looked up at him. "What, no. Go to sleep," "You go to sleep," "You're helpless Munson," I smiled. He reached over to turn his lamp on, "Is this better," I nodded finally feeling that it was safe to sleep. "Can you go to sleep now or am I skipping," he joked. "I'm gunna try," "I think I'll just skip either way," "You're going to skip no matter what I say, aren't you?" I smiled. "Mhm," I sighed and snuggled closer to him. Eventually I fell asleep.

I woke up to the sound of Eddie snoring. I got out of bed and grabbed my book. I sat up against  the wall and read a few chapters before Eddie rolled over and hugged my leg. I couldn't help but laugh. He's like a giant man child and I love it. He cuddled up to my leg and laid his head on my thigh. I went back to reading since he was still sleeping. I was getting to a really good part in the book when Eddie woke up, "Good morning pretty lady," I laughed. "Good morning Eddie," I said back to him. He sat up next to me and laid his head on my shoulder. "Do you want me to make breakfast," he asked. I looked at him like he was stupid, "When did you learn how to cook," "Um I didn't, but I'm not bad at it," "Eddie you burn water," "Oh puh-lease," he enunciated. "Just you watch," he said getting out of bed. I slammed my book shut and quickly followed after him, I had to make sure he didn't burn the house down. I sat down on the counter top as he pulled out a pan and put it on the stove. He walked to the fridge and grabbed some eggs. "Watch how good I am," he said cracking the egg. The egg shattered in his hand, making a huge mess. He frowned at the mess, "Fuck," he sighed. "Lemme help," I grabbed a rag and began to clean up the stove. "Go wash your hands," he walked over to the sink washing the egg residue off of his hands. I cracked two eggs in the pan, he looked over, "Show off," he scoffed. I laughed at his comment then grabbed two pieces of bread, putting them into the toaster. Once the bread was done toasting I placed two plates on the counter, I put one slice on each plate. I grabbed a spatula and took the eggs out of the pan, placing one on each of the bread slices. I handed Eddie the plates and he walked over to the couch. I followed him after grabbing two water bottles. I took my plate and handed Eddie the other water bottle.
