Josh sat next to me, again. He told me about all the stuff Mackenzie said about me. Most of it was fake. Some of the things she told him was true.
He asked me
"Why'd you leave?"
Ugh. Now I have to explain my life to him
"Um... No reason... It's nothing."
"Well, Jaki. It's obviously something or else you wouldn't be like this."
"It's just- umm. Mackenzie's abuse at me. It gets tiring to deal with after a while, so I went into the bathroom and tried to hide."
"How does she abuse you! She's so nice and sweet! And you're so beautiful an kind!"
"She pushes me in the halls, and she calls me names you wouldn't believe."
"I'm not believing you, Jaki. I think your just full of nonsense! She's so nice! How could anyone say she's not!?"
"Because she's a jerk! OKAY, JOSH! SHE A FRICKEN PAIN IN THE NECK TO DEAL WITH!"
"Well, I'm gonna test your theory out. We're over until you can see that she's an angel."
He pulled out his phone and called Mackenzie. He was asking her out, right in front of my face! Like I wasn't there. I was invisible. He was still there, and I know he didn't deserve my tears. But I still let the burning hot tears stream down my face.
He saw me and had a sad, longing, look on his face. But then he snickered and got off the bus, talking to his new girl friend.
I'm sick of all this abuse I get from Mackenzie. All the little comments she says. The little looks she makes at me. IM JUST SICK OF IT!
I don't have a best friend (or any friends really) to count on. I'm sinking and slowly dying. Why did I deserve this? What did I do, God, to deserve THIS!?

Awww. Poor Jaki! I feel sad for her! I know this story is very unrealistic at parts, but I just have so many idea to cram into the book. I know it's very unlikely for a relationship to last for 1 day.
