Bens pov
I was sitting on the couch with Bailey talking about random stuff waiting for Penelope to finish her phone call.

A few moments later she walked into the living room. "Okay I'm taking you to the hospital. Bailey, would you like to come?" She asked.

"Yeah," I answered quickly. We got in the very old car that she drives and we headed to the hospital. When we got there we got called back surprisingly  quickly.

"Alright Benjamin I'm Dr Berkowitz I'll be taking care of you today" he smiled.

"Penelope says that you may have add a broken rib. Could you lift your shirt for me?" He asked. I slowly lifted the front of my shirt and he examined my ribs.

"Yeah, definitely broken. I'm going to give you some advil and I'll wrap your ribs in bandages for extra support. Hopefully it'll provide pain relief" he said.

"Thank you Doc, I know you're busy. I'll pay you when I can" Penelope said.

"Don't sweat it Pen, my daughter hasn't bought anything extremely expensive in a month. I might actually catch up on my student loan payments" he sounded excited which confused me. When we got back to the apartment Lydia was making lunch for us.

"How did it go?" She asked.

"He'll be alright, he just needs rest" Bailey answered.

"Mom, can I go hang out with Syd?" Elena asked.

"Yeah, why don't you take Bailey with you?" Penelope suggested.

"I don't want to intrude, it's alright" Bailey replied. Alex walked next to me and helped me sit on the couch.

"Oh no it's alright let's go. Don't worry about Ben Abulita is going to treat him like royalty" Alex said smiling.

"Yes I am" Lydia announced from the kitchen. Sometimes I think Bailey spent so much time taking care of me that she forgets to live her life.

"Bailey go I'll be alright" I smiled.

"Okay I'll be back soon I love you" she said as she gently hugged me.

"I love you too".

She walked out the door and I laid my head back on to the couch.

"Why don't you get some sleep?" Penelope said.

"Okay. Can you show me the room?" I asked. She nodded and led me to the spare room.

After about twenty minutes of tossing turning and overthinking I still couldn't sleep. Alex quietly opened the door to check on me.

"Hi," I said sheepishly.

"Why aren't you asleep?" Alex asked.

"I'm just anxious, and bad at sleeping when my sister isn't near. It's really stupid but..."

"Why dont you come in my room?" He asked. "I'm not doing much just playing video games" he added.

"sure" I replied sheepishly. I wrapped up in my moms blanket and grabbed a pillow.

As I watched him play this weird shooting game he called It "COD" He kept talking to himself and telling himself to ignore me? I just laid there confused as fuck. Eventually though I learned to ignore him. I got comfortable on Alex's bed. Soon my eyes grew heavy and I fell asleep to Alex yelling at the computer.

Alex's pov(before Ben goes in Alex's room)

I was live steaming on twitch there were 217 people watching 4 higher than last time. I wanted to check on Ben so I got to a place that could pause the game "Hey guys I'll be right back I need to check on my... someone" I stood up and walked to Bailey's room and softly knocked on the door

"Hi" Ben looked so cuddly and cute I thought he was supposed to be sleeping

"Why aren't you asleep??" I asked him.

""I'm just anxious, and bad at sleeping when my sister isn't near. It's really stupid but..."I totally got that.

"Why don't you come in my room?" I figured maybe he didn't want to be alone. "I'm not doing much just playing video games".  He grabbed some of his stuff and followed me to my room.

"I'm back guys" I said, putting on my mic. "This is Ben, just ignore him. He's not sleeping well because of his ribs" I explained. Ben kept looking at me weirdly. I just chose to ignore it. Eventually when I looked back Ben was peacefully sleeping in my bed wrapped up in a ball with his blanket. I smiled as he snored softly. I found it kinda cute. Wait no what am I thinking I'm straight. Alex snap out of it!

Bailey's POV

The Uber stopped outside a cute little place called Round table.

"What is this place?" I asked, looking at Elena.

"YOU'VE NEVER HAD ROUND TABLE" Elena exclaimed.

"No..." I said confused.

"Any chance we had at liking each other went out the window" Syd sounded really offended.

"I'm sorry I don't really get out much" 

"Ok let's just head inside and get a table" Elena's face changed realizing why and felt bad she changed the subject.

We walked in and sat and got some food then started eating. "So how DID you guys meet?" Syd had asked. Me and Elena kept looking at each other wondering how to answer.

"Well my dads a prick so I went into there house and now I'm staying with them" I wanted to keep it as vague as possible so I wouldn't freak her out. She still seemed shocked.

"Oh???"

"Pretty much except they LIVE with us" Elena corrected.

"Really" I got excited cause I thought we'd be kicked out. "Are you serious"

"Ya unless you're planning on leaving??"

"Not anytime soon"

We talked for a bit and got to know each other like syd has a gerbil and is homeschooled with her brother. They both learned that my mother was Italian and started teaching me to cook at the age of four before she passed when I was 9 and Ben was 6. Elena also apparently had a hamster when she was little which Alex killed by flashing it down the toilet cause 'WATER SLIDE!!'

After eating we headed back to our places and I checked on Ben cause he wasn't in the spare room so I asked Pen and she told me that he was in with Alex. I lightly knocked on the door and there wasn't an answer so Penelope told me to just open it and when I did we saw them cuddling Ben's head in Alex's chest while Alex had his arms wrapped around Ben. We said aww in unison and pen took a picture. Alex wiggled a bit so we closed the door and all headed to bed.

When I walked into the room I realized Ben had taken a pillow and mom's blanket "ass" I mumbled Under my breath and laid down. I got comfy and dozed off really quickly to the thought that both me and my brother were safe and for the first time since the accident we were really truly happy.
