Ashwatthama washed his feet at the bank of the river.
He furrowed his eyebrows slightly as he watched many commonfolk walked towards the lake and washed their feet and drizzled some water on their head before walking towards the Shiva Temple.
He exhaled his breath and bend down , washing his arms before taking a small scoop of water and drizzled on his head.
He then turned around and walked up the stairs, motioning his guards to follow him.
" Why's there a crowd suddenly at this hour ?" Ashwatthama mumbled as he saw a large crowd at the side of the temple where a chariot stood.
He looked at his guards who told him that it maybe some other royals who wanted to visit the temple causing Ashwatthama to nod his head and walked away while his guards stood outside the temple.
He stepped into the temple and walked towards the centre of the temple where Mahadeva sat in the form of a Linga. The priest smiled at him and told him to wait before walking away.
He faced Mahadeva and closed his eyes as he chanted his mantras feeling the lightness in his heart. His ears twitched slightly as he heard the dangling sounds of an anklets with some breeze giggles.
He broke out of his trace and turn his head. His eyes widened as he took a step back before blinking with his jaw slacked slightly.
A young man wearing peacock feathers and bright yellow suit stood next to the dazzling princess of Mathura.
Charvi wore a silver thread saree with studs of blood stone. Her blouse was dark burgundy with small glittery like patches of flower and the hand of her blouse was up until her arms. She wore rubies on her neck and a small ruby study earrings and red glass bangles. On her forehead a small silver shaped flower was drawn.
" Lord Ashwatthama, Pranam," Charvi said as she felt her face turning warm as his eyes scanned her.
Ashwatthama cleared his throat and nod his head before turning around. Charvi swallowed her saliva and kept quiet while Sambha smirked as he kept looking at Ashwatthama.
" Raajkumari, I will place the prasadam to Mahadeva and began the aarti," The priest said with a wide smile causing Charvi to nod her head. She turned around and took a tray from Uri and passed it to the priest.
" My offerings to Mahadeva," Charvi said causing the priest to smile and accept the tray.
" Raajkumari, we will circle around the temple," Uri said and Uruvi nod her head and walked away while Sambha grinned widely and took a piece of her hair and coiled it around his finger and tugged it.
" Sambha!" Charvi yelled causing Ashwatthama to turn his head and frowned seeing the prince.
" Raajkumari is he bothering you ?" He asked out in a cold tone as he glared at Sambha.
" Kekekeke, when did I bother you wittle fish," Sambha said while Charvi shook her head and pulled the strand of her hair from his finger.
" You told me you won't cause trouble!" Charvi hissed causing Sambha to snort.
" I told you I won't get you in trouble. Anyways, I am off now. Pray hard and mayhaps Mahadeva will grant this wish too," Sambha said and patted her hair.
" Wait Sambha! Where are you going ?" Charvi shouted causing Sambha to laugh and wink before strolling away.
Charvi exhaled her breath and rubbed her forehead. She glanced at Ashwatthama with a small helpless smile causing the man to purse his lips.
