My POV
"GO PATRIOTS!!!" I yelled as me and the rest of the cheer squad came off the football field. This was our last game regular season game in an away game when we went to Sun Life Stadium for the Super Bowl. What's up you guys? I'm Abigail Revis, younger sister of Darelle Revis, corner-back of the New York Jets, and my best friend is Alex Edelman, younger sister of Julian Edelman, and 5'10 #10 WNBA rookie starting shooting guard for the New York Liberty, and is going out with rookie quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. I'm the head cheerleader for the New England Patriots Cheer Squad, and I've been dating Tom Brady for three years now. Alex and I met in college in Eastern Illinois when we were both in the same sorority Alpha Gamma Delta, and we've roommates and been best friends since, but that's where Alex also found her first love Jimmy G, and they both were the cutest college couple ever. Alex was a leading scorer as a leading shooting guard/small forward for the EIU Panthers, won many awards and honors from Offensive Player of the Year, to the Women's Naismith Trophy, was an excellent team captain her senior year, led us Panthers to two Final Four back-to-back appearances, and got 9th overall 1st round pick to the New York Liberty. As for Jimmy, he was an outstanding offensive player under Coach Dino Babers with his uptempo no huddle offense. He was also named the 2013-14 OVC Male Athlete of the Year, and the 2013 College Football Performance FCS National Quarterback of the Year, and got selected in the second round as 62nd pick for the Patriots. And me; I have been a football and basketball cheerleader boosting my school's spirit, and used my favorite sport to support Jimmy and Alex on the field and court, respectively, but also majored as a computer science engineer. During the day, I'm a computer programmer at an Apple Store in downtown Boston, helping fix computer data breaches in that store, and knowing that the ball will stop for Alex at one point, she majored in sports medicine to be a college sports nurse assistant when she retires from basketball. Anyway, back to me, practice for the half-time was fine, but our skills had to be refined to the max!!! This was our routine of the year since we are being filmed nationwide. I went to the locker with the rest of my cheer squad, and went over everything there is to know on our routine before coach Tracy even came in. She got us into a quick team huddle, gave us some advice and encouragement, and dismissed us for the day, with Alex waiting in our hotel room of the Hampton Inn Downtown Phoenix so that we can watch a Phoenix Suns game together that night.
Tom
Me and the guys are having lunch after practice, and we just had a long, exhausting day of practice. While we were hanging out at Hard Rock Cafe Phoenix, I felt my phone vibrate. I see that the caller is Darelle Revis, my girlfriend Abiagail's older brother. I picked up the phone and answered it.
Phone Convo; (T=Tom, D=Darell)
T: Hello?
D: Yo Tom, it's Darelle!
T: Hey, my main man! Haven't seen you in forever! What's up?
D: How are you and Abigail doing?, and just great! Can't wait to come out to support you two!
T: Ah, yes, speaking of her, I need your help with something special planned in mind for her.
D: For sure! What is it?
T: I want to marry Abby, but I want to do it at the Super Bowl game tomorrow against the Seattle Seahawks.
D: I got you! Can I meet you for lunch tomorrow?
T: Of Course! Abby will be at practice that time.
D: Ok! I'll call you tomorrow after I landed from my flight landing in Phoenix.
T: Awesome! See you later!
D: Bye
T: Bye
Hope what he is planning works! We're about to be done with lunch, and Jimmy and I will meet our girlfriends for a Phoenix Suns vs Boston Celtics game with courtside seats.
Abiagail
Alex is now watching Sports Center on the couch in her EIU PJ's munching on some peanut M & M's while I get ready to take a quick shower. I quickly take it, and then Alex takes her turn. I decided to wear a purple halter top, black ripped skinny jeans, a cropped black leather jacket, Jordans with a hint of orange and purple, get my hair straightened, and wore a purple Phoenix Suns Snapback. Alex decided to wear a short-sleeve alternative jersey that she cropped herself with her boyfriend's last name and his jersey number with black high-waisted ripped skinny jeans, a black belt from Forever 21, matching jordans, curled her hair up a bit, and wore a grey Phoenix Suns snapback. We also did our makeup to look natural. We then met up with our boys for the game, wearing the same matching jerseys as Alex, but in gray with their last names and football numbers in the back with jeans and Jordans. Me and Alex went to go get some snacks for us and the guys, and we had amazing seats right behind the Phoenix bench. At one point of the game, Alex Len went for a defensive rebound that the ball came flying into the our seat, but luckily, Alex E. went for an overhead pass to give the ball to the team, and save the game. Phoenix won by 111-86. We all had fun, and there were little kids and teenagers coming up to Alex, Tom, and Jimmy for autographs, and pictures with me too. Tomorrow is going to be fun, and Alex and I dreamt of what going to become of tomorrow.
Abigail
Today is the day of the Super Bowl, and it's almost halftime. The Patriots are winning by five touchdowns. It's now halftime, and me and the girls go on to the field. I see the players are still on the field instead of going to the locker rooms? What is this?!!! Next thing I know, the players are handing me roses, with Tom coming last, with a rose, and something behind his back. Before he can speak, as if on cue, the players turned around and wore jereseys that spelled "Marry Me Abigail". Then Alex sets up a chair, strums her ukelele, then sings her rendition of "Lemonade" by Jeremy Passion, wearing her women's Jimmy Garrapolo jersey, ripped dark washed skinny jeans, and her Nike Dunks, with her straightened, and had red extensions in her hair, and she sang with two of my teammates Ashley and Danielle. I cried with how adorable they looked, and how great they sounded. I can tell that they worked really hard to help Tom out with this. Then, Tom started to speak. "Abigail, you've been there for me since day one. You've been a great girlfriend, my best friend, my comforter, the only woman that can truly make me happy, and stick with me through thick and thin. I'm grateful to have you as my girlfriend, but, can I make you the future Mrs. Brady?" I cryed, and said yes. He slipped the ring on my finger, and he kissed me. Katy Perry's performance was amazing, and my Patriots won 28-24. This was one amazing Super Bowl, and the best night ever!!!
