012 : New Employee

I just finished half of my day in the school.

Now that I have a job, I need to cut my time in studies and work.

Oh yes, I'm gonna work where Jasmine does!!!!!

I changed my clothes in the bathroom.

I put my apron on and tie my hair up before putting my other clothes on my bag and going to the cashier area.

I was assigned to take orders and then give the orders to the costumers.

I also clean the tables if I see a messy one.

Jasmine works the same time as me.

Well, about billie.. I didn't see her in my dreams that doesn't feel like a dream. I don't know why, but I just hope Riley would come and get some coffee.

I remember she told me that she just work beside where I work now.

Currently, there is no new costumers ordering.

I stretch my body for a second, then someone suddenly orders.

I look to them. The person I have been waiting for.

Riley!!

"Hey Riley! What would you like to order?" I said and she smiles wide.

"Y/n! I never knew you work here!" she said.

"It's actually my first day here" I explained and she nods.

"Well then I'll have your favourite drink" she said.

"Really?"

"Yeah, I mean it's your first day so I better taste your favourite drink" she said and I typed that in.

She payed and waited for her drink while she talks to me.

"are you here everyday?" she asked, looking deeply into my eyes.

"Half day everyday, except for weekends. I sometimes do get the whole day in weekends" I said and she nods, taking notes in her head.

I feel better now. I mean, I didn't get to see billie last night but I get to see and talk to Riley.

"Order for Riley" Jasmine said and she gives me the drink.

"Oh here's your drink. Do you need to go now?" I said as she takes the cup and sips on it.

"I'm not planning to love, why don't we talk a little bit there? You can have some break right?" she said.

Love... Ughhh I just know I'm blushing.

"Don't worry y/n, I'll cover you up" Jasmine suddenly appeared behind me.

"Thank you Jas!" I said and sat down where Riley was.

We talked about different stuffs about ourselves.

Like about our family, how many siblings we have, where we originally live, school and other more things.

I learned that she actually lives by herself since she doesn't have a family. Her family died in a plane crash when they were about to visit her.

I also learned that she dropped out of college and just focused on her work.

"That company didn't need some college degree so it was perfect for me" she said as we talked more.

I looked at my watch and 15 minutes has already past.

"Oh shit, I got to go back to work. Why don't we just text later on?" I said and she agreed.

"I'll make sure to visit you everyday" she said and that made me blush.

We both said goodbye to eachother and got back to work.

"Am I sensing some first step into a relationship?" Jasmine said in a teasing way.

"stop!" I giggle and blush.

Billie and Riley makes me feel some type of way.

I heard a notification from my phone while I do my work.

Riley
-are you about to sleep? :(

>nope :)

-good. Let's talk with things we couldn't talk about earlier👀

I looked at my laptop, typed some words and finished it fast.

I closed my laptop and texted Riley back.

Riley
>Yeah that's a good idea, well how old are you?

-I'm 20 mami, you're 18 right?

>Yup, how did you knowww?

-it looks like it 🤭

>Aw😕 didn't even get the chance to let you guess my age

-that's ok y/n, you can still let me guess other things.

Our communication continues until I felt so sleepy.

She's really fun to talk with. We get along very well since we have the same type of humour.

Personally, besides the looks, I look for someone who has a good attitude, knows how to respect, and funny.

Someone who will be there for me when I need someone.

I yawn and put my phone beside me, turning it off.

I still have a day ahead of me.

I just can't stop thinking about these things that are happening to me since the first day that I moved.

But hey, at least it's not something bad.
