022 : Friends

Y/n's pov

"stay here, I'll get some towel for us" she said before she walks towards her car, reaching the towels inside.

I sat on the bench 20 feet away from the lake.

She came back, handing me one of the towels and then sat beside me.

"how did you find this place? Cause it looks so hidden" I said while I pat the towel on my skin.

"Well, there was sometimes that I needed time for myself. You know.. I needed to think about shits. So I decided to drive around until I found this place" she explains.

"I don't really have that much friends, but when we have time, we spend our time here" she adds.

We put our clothes back on, still sitting on the bench.

"This place is so peaceful" I said.

"That's why we're here. I know you get tired of school and works, that's why I excused you for two days" she said.

"Thank you so much riley.. You don't know how much I appreciate what you do" I said with a smile.

"It's no problem y/n. Just remember that I'm always here for you" she said.

I wrapped my arms around her, she did the same.

I never knew someone would care for me like this. I just cry myself to sleep sometimes, all of these works I spend so much time on.

I just want someone to talk to, I want to vent on someone. But I get embarrassed, I feel like I complain too much, even though I know I never do.

"Speaking of friends, wanna meet mine?" she asked me as we pull away from the hug.

"Really? Yeah!" I said and we walk towards her car.

I open the door and sat on the passenger side.

I close the door and put the towel on the back seat where Riley put hers.

Her car engine starts and she drives away.

We passed houses and houses until she stops on one.

We gout out of the car and she holds my hand, leading us to the front door.

She knocks on the door and we waited for someone to answer.

A short-haired woman suddenly opens the door.

She smiles when she saw riley.

"Bil-Riley! I didn't know you would visit" she said and she looks at me.

"Oh go on, enter" she made a space for us to get inside.

"Thank you" I said as we sat on the couch.

A different girl came out of one of the rooms and she looked surprised.

"Riley!" she said and walks towards riley to hug her.

"Oh anyways, this is my friend, y/n. Y/n they are my other friends which are Zoe and Drew" she pointed on both of her friends.

"It's so nice to meet yall" I said and they smiled.

"finallyy, we met you since bi-riley has been talking about you" drew said.

What's up with them messing up riley's name?

We talked about things like what we do and many more.

I learned that this house is actually Zoe's but she let's Drew live with her.

They also have another friend and her name is "Laura".

She lives in another house with her family but she comes here sometimes.

"what do yall want for dinner?" zoe asked.

They all looked at me.

"What do you want y/n?" Riley asked.

"I mean I'm ok with what yall got" I said.

"Let's order some pizza!" zoe said as she took her phone.

"Yall are so fun to be with! Can we be friends?" I said.

They looked at me with the "are you serious?" look before they speak.

"GURL you are already our friend!!" drew cheers.

We ate more pizzas and watched some movies, specially the horror ones.

After all of that, since its getting late, we decided to go to bed.

"Yall can sleep at the next room. Riley take care of her alright?" Zoe said before she enters her room.

We entered the room and there was a queen sized bed and a lamp. But the lamp had design on it like stars and moon.

"Oh there's clothes right there" Riley points on one of the cabinets.

"Riley, what about tomorrow? I still have school and work.." I worried but Riley promised me something.

"Don't worry y/n, ill wake you up early and we can go back home, ok?" she said.

I nod with a small smile, now I feel bad. Maybe I pushed her a bit.

"Sorry Riley it's just that-"

"It's ok y/n, I know how you feel" she assured me.

We moved on and changed our clothes into fresh ones from the drawer.

They are kinda big but they're mad comfy.

We lay down the bed, our hands are about an inch away.

"what are you thinking about?" she asked me.

"I don't know" I said.

Silence filled the room as we look at the stars above us, coming from the lamp.

Her head turns to me, and her hands made contact with mine.

I looked back, her eyes were shining.

It tells me that she wants to say something, but she's too nervous.

"What is it Riley?" I asked, trying to convince her to tell me what she wants to tell me.

She looks at our hands, intertwined, then she looks back on me.

"Y/n.. I've been wanting to ask you this for a long time, but I get so nervous. Now that it's just us, I want to ask you.. Can I take you out on a date?" she asked with hope in her eyes.

I couldn't say no, but I thought to myself, maybe it's too early for date.

I mean, we haven't knew each other for a long time now.

"Riley... I don't think it's time for that. I mean, we don't know each other roughly. Maybe we should take some time to know each other" I said but she didn't answer.

"I still want to go out on a date with you.. but i want to know you more" I said and she smiles.

Her eyes shined with hope.

"I promise, we will get to know each other more" she said.

A smile appeared on my face. My head slowly leans onto hers as I start to fall asleep.

"goodnight Riley"
