001 : Fall Asleep

Finally! I'm done fixing and moving all of my stuffs. Thanks to the help of my new friend, Jasmine.

She is so kind! She would also tell me stories about how long she has been here, about our landlord and many more.

I'm really glad I have someone to guide me into this big ass city.

I'm so tired. I could use some fucking sleep, but I still have something to do.

Well, it's better to finish it before I take a nap.

I walked towards my table and sat down.

I still need to check some research.

They gave me an exam paper online for me to answer. After that, they will let me know when I'm already allowed to take my course.

I really hope this goes well. I promised my parents, especially myself, that I will not give up. No matter what happened, I will still reach my dream.

I need to make my parents proud since from the day that I was born, they took care of me.

In every move that I make. They support me in everything I want to do.

I only have one friend from my home town.

Well back then, I did have alot of friends. We just suddenly stopped talking without any reason.

But my friend's name is Lorin.

Lorin and Jasmine are my friends.

Ok ok back to work.

I typed and typed my answers until in finished. I then send the paper to the school's email. I'll just have to wait.

I'm hungry. I looked at the time and it was already 6:56 in the evening.

I walk out of my room to the kitchen.

I saw Jasmine reheating a meal in the microwave.

"oh hey y/n. Wanna eat with me?" she suggests while she takes her meal out of the microwave.

"sure. I'm not really used to eating alone" I reply as I put my meal into the microwave.

College life. I really need to find a job, but my parents won't let me.

They still want me to focus on my studies. They promised me that they will provide money for me.

I just don't know why they still get scared for me to do something in the outside world, but I'm still thankful to have them as my parents.

The sound of my food finish snapped me to reality.

I took it out and sat beside Jasmine. It's just us in this single apartment with two rooms.

"How's your exam?" Jasmine asked.

Jasmine also had an exam with the same school I'm going.

"I think I did great or shit. It's not very hard though. How was yours?" I said.

"Ugh I fucking hate the last part. Why do we need to write an essay with 500 words to prove that we are truly willing to graduate??" she complains.

"right?? I just said some random shits. I hope they won't notice it though" we laughed as we ate our food.

We cleaned up our mess and rest for a while in the living room.

"whats your favourite movie?" She asked me.

"I don't have favourites but I'm very into horror" I said.

"girl? same! Let's watch conjuring!" she said as she searched for it on Netflix.

"do you got any siblings?" I ask her.

"yeah. I have 2 siblings. I'm the oldest so here I am now. My family and I actually lives in Australia but we decided to move here. Our house is just like 30 mins away from here. So I decided to move here in this apartment because it would be hard for me travelling like half an hour just to get to school" she explains.

"well how about you?" she adds.

"I don't have any siblings. My parents lives in another country" I said as we focused to the movie again.

"Hey, I was wondering if you have a job?" that question came out of my mouth.

"I do have one. I work at Starbucks. What's up?" she said.

"nothing, I was wondering if I should get a job" I said.

"well you need money for living. Why don't you wrok with me? Our manager is actually looking for a new employee" she suggest.

That's actually a good idea. But how about my parents?

"ill think about it first" I said and she nodded her head, agreeing.

Time passes by until we finished the movie.

I walk inside the bathroom and did my night routine.

Skin care, brushed my teeth, brushed my hair, then changed my clothes to something comfy.

After that, I exit the bathroom and immediately run to my bed.

Ofc I locked my door. I would never sleep without my door lock.

Ugh I wish I could just stay here in this soft bed with cold sheets.

I turn on the air conditioner and I start to scroll on my phone.
