Chapter 4: We're The Freaks

You both finish you're classes and he meets you in the hallway to head to lunch hall together. You leaned up against the lockers listening to music with your Walkman when you feel somebody lean up against the lockers. You thought it was Eddie..until you were greeted by Jason.

Jason: Hey, tell that freak that if he comes out of line again. * he gets closer to your ear and whispers* you're both dead..

You sit there with your eyes furrowed and speechless as he walks off to head to lunch. You then see Eddie approaching you with a huge grin happy to see you.

Eddie: Hey! Y/n *pulls you in for a hug* ready ?

He notices your silence and looks at you concerned

Eddie: hey, you okay?

Y/n: uh..uh yeah sorry just a little tired that's all

Eddie knows there is something wrong

Eddie: Y/n? I know there is something wrong *he puts his hand on your shoulder and looks you in the eyes with a genuineness* you can talk to me, so what's on your mind sweetheart?

Y/n blushes and looks down lightly smiles then sighs

Y/n: Well, Jason just came up to me before you up got here and threatened you and I..

Eddie grew to become more angry and upset

Eddie: You want me to take care of him ? * he was angry

Y/n: no no it's okay. *you smile at him trying to calm him down

Eddie: No, idc if he threatens me. He don't scare me, but when he threatens my girl now I have a problem.

You look up in disbelief without him noticing your gaze. Wait, his girl? Did he just call me HIS girl. You felt butterflies and your face start to blush. Eddie then began to notice. He started to calm down

Eddie: are you blushing, sweetheart?

He was smirking at you and leaning against the lockers, locking eyes with yours

Y/n: is it that obvious? *you laugh

Eddie smiled in reply

Eddie: Just gotta assert of what's mine.... *he winked

You both head off in lunch and Eddie takes you to his table. There was a bunch of boys sitting there wearing Hellfire Club shirts. Eddie then introduces you to the group

Eddie: Guys, this is our newcomer and my friend, Y/n. Y/n, this Mike, Dustin, Gareth, and Jeff.

They all say hi as you return you greeting to them

Eddie pulls you a chair right next to his and pats on the sit to initiate for you sit down

You say there in silence while they all ramble about their campaign for tonight.

Eddie: we're the freaks, because we like to play a fantasy game.

*he said while talking to the group and slamming his hand down on the table as he hops onto the table and starts having this tangent that breaks you out of focus on your Walkman

Eddie: As long as you're into band! Or science? or partiessss.. or a GAME WHERE YOU TOSS BALLS INTO LAUNDRY BASKETS!

You and his groups starts laughing. Jason gets up from his table

Jason: You want something, freak?

Eddie then make a devil face at him in his response til Jason looks at him and sits back down

Jason: prick..

Eddie smirks then walks his way down the table continuing

Eddie: it's called forced conformity...that's WHATS KILLING THE KIDS !!! * he said jumping off the table scaring a teacher as the group continues to laugh at the table and he then politely gesture for two cheerleaders to walk past them as they look at him disgusted. He then walks back to the table
