a couple hours earlier...

"Blehhhhhhhh" Lyla threw up her mornings breakfast in the toilet for the second time as Landon held her hair back from her face as she continued to puke with her head face down in the toilet.

"Ohhhh big sis what have you done" Landon said shaking his head as she looked up at him.

"Wtf are you talking about" Lyla said

"Who you been fuckn on" Landon asked

"Boy boo, why you in my business?" Lyla said

"Mhm well whoever it is you been getting sum from got yo pregnant ass slumped over this toliet" Landon said slightly laughing

"It's not funny Landon" Lyla said pushing him

"I'm not pregnant, plz don't say that." Lyla said desperately trying not to accept the fact that he might actually be right.

"I'm going to go to the store and get a few tests for you, I'll be back. Please clean up yourself.. it stinks." Landon said holding his nose walking out the bathroom as she nodded her head leaning up from the toliet trying to catch up her  breath to stop the tears from streaming down her face as it was too late when she started bawling her eyes out more and more.

"Hey Alexa call bestie" Lyla said

"Heyyy best- wait what's wrong, why are you crying" Brooke said

"Please come over" Lyla said while still crying

"I'm on my way" Brooke said hanging up

Lyla cleaned herself up, brushing her teeth and washing her face again trying not to so messed up. While she was cleaning out the toilet, she heard the doorbell ring making her way to the door seeing Brooke and immediately hugging her for a what seemed like a long time.

"What's wrong Ly" Brooke said concerned seeing the dried up tears on her face.

"imightbepregnant" Lyla said turning her head in another direction.

"Say what?!!" Brooke said surprised

"I think I'm pregnant, well Landon does." Lyla said as Brooke eyes became big at the mention of his name.

Before Landon moved to LA, Brooke and Landon were in a deep relationship for 2 years and counting as they were each other's first and were attached to the hip and everyone thought they were endgame until Landon got him an acting gig in LA permanently moving him there and that's when the relationship started going downhill as Brooke couldn't do long distance and being away from her boyfriend for so long as they never been away from each other like that before was a tuff adjustment for her but she wanted to see it through.

Landon always tried to make it work because he loved her so much but love wasn't enough for Brooke as eventually she started accusing him of things and letting her insecurities get the best of her eventually deciding to break up with him and they never gotten in contact with each other since.

"Wh-why is he back?" Brooke asked

"Just visiting" Lyla shrugged noticing the shift in Brookes mood.

"Ik yawl history and how it went down but yawl should've moved on and now act like mature adults- welp mature exes." Lyla said laughing as Brooke blankly stared at her.

The door opened to Landon with a Walgreens bag full of pregnancy tests and snacks.

"I have your stuff-" Landon said before being cut off at the site of Brooke.

"Don't be weird, I'll be right back" Lyla said taking the bag from him going to the bathroom leaving them all alone.

"How are you?" Landon said to Brooke
