"about that .."

"Lyla is out for right now and hasn't shown any signs of waking up yet but the baby is still alive and breathing.." the doctor said as they all let out a sigh of relief.

"but we don't know how long the baby will be safe if lyla doesn't wake up so theirs one of two options we can do. The 1st option is that we can have an emergency C section and deliver the baby now and keep she or him in the ICU until the baby can breath on its own and can be sent home with the parents or the baby can stay in her stomach for her remaining trimesters praying she wakes up and have a successful normal birth. It's up to you."

it was pure silence as everyone stood around not knowing what to do or say.

"I'll give you all some time to discuss your options, I'll be back." The doctor said escorting himself out of the lobby area heading back down the hall.

"so I think.." brooke started to say but was cut off by jamir

"she's going to keep my baby for the remaining months and that's that." jamir said

"what no?! We don't even know if Lyla will fucking wake up again and leaving the baby in there is a risk of losing 2 of the most important people and your willing to do that... wow how selfish can you be right now" brooke said.

"It's not about you what the fuck" jamir said.

"ITS NOT ABOUT YOU EITHER" brooke said.

"ok okkk , why don't jus everybody calm down for ah second?" Xay said.

"we have till the doctor come back to make an decision." Xay said

"This isn't a vote, debate, up for discussion none of that. That's my child, my wife & the mother of my child all in one that's laying in that fucking hospital bed fighting for 2 lives and you niggas tryna argue with me about what "we" should do nah fuck that, it's what im doing and I've already made my decision." Jamir said walking outside to smoke a blunt leaving everyone speechless and brooke more annoyed then before on the type of decision he's making.

"im going to check on him" eli said to the others..

Xay and Brooke sat in uncomfortable silence as employees passed back and forth for the next ten minutes.

"Look Xay you agree with me right like you were her best friend just like me and you know Lyla would never put her baby in danger like that not knowing if she was going to make it as like well 100% sure." Brooke expressed to Xay hoping that she has somebody on her side.

"More like 80/20 but listen brooke you have to understand jamir point of view of this & this isn't me coming from that's my homeboy so im going to be on his side no matter what but that women that lays in that bed and child inside of her stomach is his as well and he has rights to that child as mush as she does and if he wants to make that decision then he can become will have to live with the good and bad at the end of the day." Xay said

"Why isn't nobody on my side like wtf nobody gets it" brooke said

"Bro why are you making this about you?" Xay said growing confused as fuck

"I'm not making this about me but y'all don't know her like I do" brooke said

"Ok coo" Xay says as he walked to the bathroom going to clear his head as brooke let out a huge sigh face palming herself.

"Hey bro, you good?" Eli asked Jamir as he just side eyed him then looked back forward not giving him an response.

"Look mir I know you.."

"No disrespect Eli but you don't really know shit and has never been in my shoes before so cut the sympathy bullshit out, it's pathetic and I don't rlly want it." Jamir snapped at Eli not trying to throw his anger at him because he was the last person he was mad at but he ain't want the pity when the most important person in his life is laying in a hospital bed suffering.

"Ok no disrespect Mir but I'm not the one your mad at and don't get mad at me for wanting to check on you and make sure you good. I know things got pretty tight with you and brooke and im just trying to make sure you straight. I could be in there with my whole girlfriend..." Eli said.

"Then go be with her the fuck." Jamir said

"Aye bro chill out" Eli said said turning back around with his hands on his head.

"Man I don't know what to do.." jamir said as eli turned back around to jamir going over to give him a hug as jamir hesitantly hugged him back as he let out his cry he was so desperately holding in.

"I-I don't know what imma do if I lose her Elijah, they are my life and if I lose them then idk what I'll do." Jamir said

"Ain't nun of that because you know Lyla better then any of us and she gone push through fa yawl lil family and y'all gone see ts through so whatever decision you make, that's going to be it." Eli said as they both pulled away from each other as Jamir whipped his eyes out.

They both walked back in together as they got themselves together from getting all emotional with each other as the doctor had came back just in time for them to give him their decision.

"So what's going to happen?" The doctor said.

"We're going to let her go all the way through with the pregnancy.." jamir told him.

"Okay and looking at her , she's doing fine as of right now , just a lot of stress on her body that made her shut down as the result of the problem. Only one of you can go see her." The doctor said.

"what's her room number" jamir asked as he said "235" and jamir flew right past him to go in her room to open the door and see her hand on her stomach laying down peacefully & jamir knew he was never leaving her side.
