Leaf blinked as she saw a small group of cats padding into the camp of the Shadow Cats. "Oh!" Leaf's eyes widened. "Flame! Welcome. I'm sorry about the mess, at the moment we're experiencing some...problems." Leaf couldn't stop her voice from wobbling when she said 'problems'. Clover had made her his second, but she didn't feel fit for the role, if she couldn't figure any of this out.
"We saw what was going on." Flame mewed. Leaf didn't recognize any of the other cats in the patrol, so she hoped he would do all the talking. "Ah, you did?"
"These vines seem very dangerous." Flame flicked his tail. Leaf nodded. "They are, but we've figured out how to deal with the,."
"Really?" Flame's eyes widened.
No. "Of course!" Leaf purred. She didn't want the Shadow Cats to look weak in front of the other groups!
"Alrighty then." Flame nodded. "We just wanted to make sure you have it under control. We don't want any cat getting hurt."
"I appreciate your concern." Leaf let out a sigh of relief as Clover padded over. "If we need any help, we'll contact you and call a meeting between the leaders."
"Very well." Flame dipped his head. "We'll be going now, then."
As they padded off, Leaf glanced over at Clover, who nodded. "Thank you for telling them that, Leaf. We don't want ourselves to look open for attack."
Leaf snorted. "Any attackers will have to fight the vines first."
Clover nodded, looking grim, and Leaf sighed.
