Adder flicked her tail as she glanced over at Tiny.
Tiny blinked. "Alright, if you're ready."
Adder nodded. Tiny had taught her how to speak to the Lost Spirits without fully transitioning to the Spirit Realm. She closed her eyes and slowed her breathing. Leaf, we need your help...please..
She opened her eyes and, there, Leaf stood, blinking. Adder purred, ecstatic. She'd done it!
"Leaf." Tiny meowed, "We don't know how to help Horizon and Toad. Clover knocked them unconscious so that they wouldn't hurt any cat. Do you know what happened?"
"I asked around," Leaf meowed. "I think that Thrush convinced them to go into the Shadow Forest with her. The others say that they couldn't see what happened because of the vines, but I think that they found the cave and then...well, then something happened to make them like that."
"Can we speak with Thrush?" Adder asked, the idea coming to her.
Leaf sighed. "Thrush's spirit is still trapped by the vines, so you would have to go by the river to ask her. But, if you can get to her, then feel free."
"Alright." Tiny dipped her head. "Thank you, Leaf."
Leaf nodded, her gaze softening. "I just want my sister back. I know that she has to be in there somewhere, but she gets deeper every day..."
Adder nodded. "I understand." She mewed, her voice soft. She felt the same way about Toad. What if...what if he was gone forever? What would she do then?
