By The Window.

Sitting by the window, she looks out in the pouring rain,
The water trickles down against the window,
As tears roll down her cheeks...
Her cheeks are red,
A gift left by the stream of tears,
But this time, there is no reason for this hollow feeling...
She sits by the window,
Accompanied by the white noise of heavy rain,
The thunder shook the sky midway,
She looks through the window as the streetlights flicker,
And the clock chimes a sync,
It's 3 of the night, but she's wide awake,
The tears of existence made her heartache,
She doesn't know why she's crying,
Just as she isn't sure why it's raining at the same time,
As if the clouds were telling her she's not alone,
As if consoling her withered soul by the tears of their own,
She placed her hand against the window feeling its coldness,
The glass felt cold as ice, yet warmer than the hearts full of malice,
She can't help but think about the days,
The days she enjoyed with people she had called friends,
Now she was alone, aware of her existence,
The tears on her face thundered with her sobbing,
'They just won't stop' is what she thinks,
But suddenly...
Her mind fled somewhere,
Into the memories of a face,
His Face...
It appeared in her mess of a mind...
She had seen him just once,
But something about that figure intrigued her...
It kept her awake at 3 am,
But unsure of her feelings of pain, she sat in the company of the rain by the window,
She didn't know he was awake too...
Thinking of her while his mind flew...
Wearing his hoodie, he reached out for someone to hold him,
But he found nothing else than the cold glass pane,
Separating him and the rain,
Gently wiping off the water from the window, he gazed at the sky,
Thinking of her as he thought, "What would be her name?"
For he was thinking of her face,
The same day when she had glanced into his lonely presence,
Their eyes met for a brief of a second,
Two people, two souls, who never had interacted except for glances,
Something akin to hope made its way into their lonesome minds,
Pondering was his mind as well as what kept him awake...
In the night full of darkness,
His eyes started pouring themselves out,
Just the way the sky did,
They both sat there at the same time,
Looking at the same rain,
Under the same atmosphere and clouds,
They didn't know what made them tear up,
Sadness, sorrow, misery there were emotions those all,
But slight happiness trickled into their hearts,
What they felt was longing for that special someone,
As they sat there thinking of who it would be,
While their answer was already there,
Just sitting by the dark balcony,
Covered in tears,
Gazing into the rain,
By the window.
