Nightmare Comfort

Shadow screamed and sat up. That memory of losing his close friend haunts him to this day. He hugged his knees, crying. The pain returns, all the regret. Sonic got up and held him close. Shad cuddled and let it all out. Even tho it wasn't his fault, he still felt guilty. He let the soldiers shoot, it's his fault. Shad is scared of losing anyone. But he has a bf and a lot of new friends, the fear is just worse. Sonic always reassured him that they won't be going anywhere. If only they were immortal. They laid back down with shadow in Sonic's arms, tightly held. Sonic was humming softly and Shad just purrred. He eventually fell asleep safe in his boyfriend's arms.
