Gray
"Shit these corn muffins are lowkey a hit." Tyson shoves one in his mouth.
"Of course they are I wouldn't lie to you." Oliver pats Ty on the back, shoveling the same way as him.
I just laugh. God there such pigs, why am I even friends with them. I roll my eyes.
Nah I'm just joking, those are my boys. When I came here in the middle of freshman year from France, they came and sat with me right at this exact table we are sitting at, when no one else would.
We've been through so much together. And we all relate to each other which is nice.
Yeah I guess there are some things we don't all agree on, and they can both be so annoying some times, but I consider them family no matter what. It sucks knowing this is our last year together before college and it's a quarter over already.
"So you guys know that knew girl? Mr. Collins daughter? She's sooooo hot." Oliver expands his words.
"Your actually getting flustered over a girl for once?" I set down my phone. This never happens. Oliver is always the, 'I'm going to focus on school and that's all', type guy.
"Man shut up." Oliver rolls his eyes.
I put both my hands up in the air like I'm guilty.
"Let's go see her. You guys will know what's up then." Oliver stands up walking towards the exit of the dining hall towards the dorms.
Me and Tyson just look at each other confused. Then finally stand up and do a light jog to catch up
with Oliver.Knowing that speedy boy, he's already half way up the stairs to her hallway.
"Jesus man. Give us a chance to catch up!" Tyson puts his hands on his knees acting out of breath. Even though Oliver and I know damn well he's not.
We burst out laughing.
"Okay guys act cool and don't be weird." Oliver leads us to her room.
We all wait in a line, facing her door as he takes a deep breath.
"Bro don't be a pussy. Just do it." Tyson groans.
"Give me a second god dammit! I'm trying to figure out what I'm gonna sa-" Before he finishes I knock twice on her door, then go on my phone acting like I did nothing.
Tyson laughs at me, and Oliver looks wide eyed at me.
"Don't over think it." Tyson whispers to Oliver.
After about 10 second of impatiently waiting, the door opens.
Holy fuck.
This is the most beautiful human being I've ever seen, she looks absolutely nothing like her scary, monster principal of a dad.
She had straight brunette hair with blonde highlights, that reached just below her collar bone. It looked incredibly soft. Her facial features are so glorious. She had brown eyes of a baby deer, that made her look so cute, and her eyelashes were velvety. She has very glossy and smooth-like skin. And she had sweet, cherry lips...that looked so kissable. When she smiled I got a glimpse of her shiny, white teeth. Her skin was tan, and sun kissed with little freckles in random places. She was probably around 5'8 or 5'9 if I had to guess. This girl was wearing an over sized t-shift that reached down to her mid-thigh, making it look like she wasn't wearing any shorts.
I don't think she saw me just check her out, so I look back at my phone, to pretend I'm doing something even though I'm not. But wow. There are no girls at our school that are even close to being as flawless as her.
"Oliver?" She look confusingly at the guy next to me.
Jesus Christ. Even her god damn voice is attractive.
"Hi Val, I was ugh just coming to check on you." Oliver scratches the back of his neck. Hmm Val. I like that name, it suits her very well.
But god, he's terrible with girls. You see if it were me talking to her right now, matter of fact we wouldn't even be talking. I'd have her pinned up against the wall and we'd be making out. But I guess that's just my way.
"Oh I appreciate it! I'm doing well." Val gives Oliver a small smile, then looks at Tyson and I.
Oliver jumps up for a quick second. I thought his heart came out of his chest. He needs to stop stressing so much. "Oh shit! Sorry...ugh this is Gray Whitlock." Oliver points to me, and I just ignore him. "And this is Tyson Clemons." He point the other direction to Ty.
My eyes move towards her as Ty grabs her hand and shakes it. Wow there buddy. Watch your hand hand placement.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Valeria!" Tyson cracks.
Val gives him a cheeky smile and steps back. "Please call me Val."
Jesus Tyson. Already messing everything up by not calling her by what she wants to be called.
"Well ugh I just wanted to see how you were doing so I'll see you tomorrow, yeah?" Oliver breaks the silence.
"Yeah of course hopefully we can have some classes together." She replies.
Oliver and Tyson both tell Val goodnight then start walking down the hall as she closes her door. Just before it shuts we make eye contact and I give her a small but not too cocky smirk.
Then I catch up with them.
"Bro you know how many times you said, "ugh" in that whole time talking to her?" I smile at Oliver.
"I don't need your shit right now. I was nervous okay?" He flips his hands up in the air. Ty and I burst out laughing.
"So what did you guys think of her anyways?" Oliver looks at both of us.
"She's definitely really pretty." Tyson adds, and Oliver nods.
"What about you Gray? Do you think she's pretty?"
Oliver looks at me.Jesus fuck Oliver. That is the finest girl I've ever seen in my life. She is so much more than just 'pretty', but my vocabulary isn't that good. "I don't know, shes okay I guess." That is such lies. I can't believe I just said that about her. Dear god, Val please forgive me.
"Ughh whatever." He rolls his eyes.
"Hey guys it's getting pretty late so I'm going to head to my room." I turn the other way down the hall.
"Alright see ya Gray." "Night gray." They both wave me off. I smile back at them.
Fuck. Val is definitely something.
