Authors note:
I'm publishing this at like seven in the morning on the first day of the summer holidays. I don't know what's wrong with me!

Well... I guess I was excited that people actually read my story!!!!
I did not expect this at all!!
I don't think that they even got past the first part and I don't have any comments soooo...

Let's get onto the story!!!!

[Monday, at six o'clock the morning in Chris's house.]

Amanda: (Shouting up the stairs) Come on Chris, you can't be late.

Chris: (Shouting) I'll be down in a bit.

[Checking if she has everything and running around her room grabbing things from her draws and stuffing them into her bag. She looks in one of her draws and sees a small photo. She picks it up then puts it in her pocket. She runs down the stairs with two bags slung around her shoulders and a suitcase.]

Amanda: Ok, are you ready?

Chris: (Nods) Yep.

Amanda: Have you got everything?

Chris: Ugh Mama! It's fine. I'm ready.

Amanda: Have fun. I love you!

[Her mum kisses her on the forehead and she runs out the house and gets onto a bus]

Chris: (Shouting) Bye Mama! I love you!

Amanda: I love you too! Be safe!

[The bus goes to the train station and she gets on a train. She is on the train for about an hour. She gets off at an airport and goes through the airport security. She then runs to a gate and bumps into an airline assistant.]

Chris: (Bumps into him) Oh my god! I'm so sorry.

Assistant: It's fine it happens. Where are you going?

Chris: Barcelona in Spain.

Assistant: Then there is no need to run. The flight had been delayed by half an hour. You should be able to catch it with plenty of time.

Chris: (Sighs in relief.) Thank god! Thank you so much.

Assistant: It's my job miss.

[She walks to the gate and hands in her ticket. She gets on the plane and takes her seat by a window. After she listens to the air flight safety check then takes out her air pods and starts listening to music. The flight takes two and a half hours.]

[She gets off at Barcelona and starts looking for the family that she had met over the phone. A Spanish lady calls out to her]

Sofia: (Shouting) Chris! Is that you?

Chris: (Sees them and walks over.) Hola! Sofia?

Sofia: That's me! It's nice to meet you in real life.

Chris: I feel the same. Thank you for letting me stay with you.

Sofia: No need to thank me. You're our guest. And the girls are looking forward to meeting you.

Chris: I'm looking forward to meeting them.

[They walk out of the airport and get a taxi. They through a busy street and go down a road to a large house named 'House Torres']

Chris: You have a lovely home.

Sofia: Thank you. It had been in our family for about one hundred and fifty years.

Chris: Wow! It looks very modern.

Sofia: We renovated it a bit so it didn't look so medieval.

Chris: (Laughing) Well, you did a good job.

Sofia: Thank you.

[They walked in and were greeted by two dogs barking and jumping up at them.]

Chris: Oh! Hola! (Laughing)

Sofia: Ay! Abajo! Lejos! So sorry.

Chris: It's fine.

Mari: Madre?

Angel: Hola!

Sofia: Hola muchachas!

[They start speaking in very fast Spanish.]

Sofia: Muchachas, this is Chris.

Chris: Holà! Encantado de conocerte.

Mari: It's nice to meet you too.

Angel: Would you like to see your room?

Pablo: Let her get in the house girls. (Smiles) Hello. I'm Pablo, this is Mari and this is Angel

Chris: It's very nice to meet all of you. And I would love to see my room. Gracias.

[They lead her down a hallway and they enter a large room.]

Sofia: I'm afraid that not all the furniture had come yet but it is almost set up.

Chris: That's absolutely fine. It's lovely.

[They help her unpack her things and are talking the whole time]

Mari: So do people from Britain really love tea?

Chris: (Laughing) I like tea but not all British people do. My mother doesn't.

Angel: I've heard that phrase 'As changeable as the English weather' Is it true?

Chris: Definitely. There was one time where it was snowing in the morning, then sunny in the afternoon.

Sofia: Really?

Chris: Yeah. It was on April Fool's day as well. We all said that it was the weather playing a
prank on us.

Pablo: (Chuckling) That is funny and very strange.

[They finished unpacking and then had dinner.]

Sofia: Pablo is an amazing cook. It's one of the reasons I married him. So I could at least get a good meal every night.

Chris: (Laughs)

Mari: Do you have a boyfriend then?

Chris: No but I do have a crush on this person in my class.

Sofia: Is it a boy or a girl?

Chris: It's a girl.

Sofia: Are you Lesbian then?

Chris: I'm Bisexual

Sofia: I see.

Angel: There aren't many Homosexual people in our school.

Pablo: (Walks in) Dinner is served.

Sofia: Gracias mi amor.

Mari and Angel: Gracias Papa!

Chris: Gracias Senor Torres.

Pablo: You're very welcome

[They start eating and once they finish, they get ready for bed. Chris gets into bed early because she had a long day and is exhausted]
