Without any more delay, lets get into the next part.
[Fred, Chris, Greg and Man2 (Cedric) are sitting in the Captains cabin.]
Fred: (Pacing) So let me get this straight... You saw Ethan, made out of the mist, and he started insulting you?
Chris: Yes! He was saying stuff like 'Why didn't you save me?... You will never become a good pirate...' stuff like that.
Fred: And after he insulted you, you burnt him with the torch and he... disappeared...?
Chris: Yes!! He turned to steam when the fire touched him!
Fred: Then you used the torch to stay safe when you were in the mist.
Chris: Yes!!!! I held the torch in front of me and it kept the mist away from me until I was out of it! I was in there for about five minutes!
Fred: (Stops pacing. Sighs in disbelief) I... I just can't believe it! You are the first person to survive the mist! Ever!!
Cedric: It is amazing!
Greg: I, for one, don't believe it one bit. I think that she is an agent of the mist sent to take us all. How else would she survive it?
Chris: The way I just told you!
Greg: With your miracle fire!? I don't think so!
[Fred cursed at him]
Fred: Greg! You weren't there! You don't know what happened!
Greg: And you do!? Because last I checked, you weren't on the boat either! You saw as much as I did!
Fred: I am in charge! And I won't stand for your superstitions on my ship!
Greg: It's Not Your Ship!! You Are not Captain!! Our Captain Is Dead!!
[Fred looked at the ground.]
Chris: Are you the Captain then?
Greg: What's that supposed to mean!?
Chris: Last I checked, you aren't the Captain either. And, even though I'm meant to be Captain I wish Fred was. I'm sure Ethan would agree that he is much more capable than anyone else.
[She kept a calm and steady voice. Fred smiled at her.]
Cedric: She's right. Greg, you may be an expert on the monsters and everything like that, but you don't know a thing about this. (He gestured to Chris) It's new, nothing like it has ever happened before, and you are just making excuses. You're just making excuses to get her off the ship because you're still angry about Daniel.
Greg: And you expect me not to be angry!? She killed him-
Cedric: The Captain killed him because he was doing something wrong. She had nothing to do with it. She was the victim.
Chris: (Thoughts) I only stopped having nightmares about that. That's mainly because I started having nightmares about the mist.
Fred: You need to start thinking straight! I remember living for ten years on a ship with the Captains sister! Sure she was only a little lass but she still never caused any problems at all.
Greg: (Mumbling) I just... don't like girls...
Chris: Wait... Do you mean that you like boys!?
Greg: What! I meant that I lived in a house of girls and as the only boy, I was bullied by my sisters! My father died and I was left with my abusive mother and my bullies for sisters! I ran away and found Daniel who let me on the ship and introduced me to the Captain. I was free but I hate girls. If they would bully me just because I was different, then why would I like them!?
Chris: (Looks at him sympathetically) Not all girls are like that. You were unlucky... You grew up with people who didn't appreciate you for who you were. And when the first person who did died, you were hurt. But know this, I would never kill anyone for something like that. I would have never killed Daniel if it was up to me. And I am so sorry...
Greg: (In tears) I'm sorry too... I was just so angry that I... I...
Chris: You don't have to say anything. You can carry on hating me. I don't care.
Man8: (Knocks on door) Um, Sir? Am I interrupting?
Greg: Ye-
Fred: No. Go ahead.
Man8: Well, you know that the mist is gone...
Fred: Yes...
Man8: Well... There might be another tiny, tiny problem... Very small though... Wouldn't want you to worry about it...
Greg: What Is It Man!?
Man8: Ummm...
Man9: IT'S THE LEVIATHAN!!!!
Man8: Yeah. That!!
[Out of no where, a giant snake like creature with razor sharp teeth sprung out of the water sending a huge wave over the ship. The creature then hissed and roared as it showed off it's yellow and dirty teeth.]
Authors note:
I don't know exactly what a leviathan looks like, but from the paintings I've seen, it looks terrifying!! I wouldn't want to be underwater and see it creep up to me from the shadows.
