I will reveal to you today that I am a thirteen year old female.
That's all so let's get into the story!
Fred: Wake up lass.
[Chris starts to wake up, grumbling]
Chris: What...? It's the middle of the night...!
[She gestures for her to walk with him. He leads her to the deck and she sees that they are docked on an island]
Fred: I told the men not to get up until dawn. We have plenty of time.
[He leads her to a cave and walks her deep into it. When they get to their destination, they get to an x marks the spot.]
Chris: (Thoughts) Huh! Classic pirate...
[He hands her a shovel and they start digging.]
Fred: (Shovelling) The Captain told be about this place and told me to lead his next in line here in case he wasn't... there...
[They continue shovelling until Chris hits something. They get down on their knees and wipe the dirt off to reveal a wooden chest. They wiggle it out of the hole and set it down on level ground. Fred then pulled out a set of keys that Chris had only ever seen before on Ethan's waist. He inserted the key and twisted it until they heard a click. Chris opened it up and saw scarf, like the one that Ethan had but a different colour, and a belt with a sword and gun attached to it]
Chris: What's all this?
Fred: It's your inheritance. The Captain got one too when his father died. Once a member of his bloodline dies, they give a chest like this to their descendant. There is always a sword and a gun, but there is also a gift that you chose. You can make one for your child or the next in your bloodline as well.
Chris: Ha! So this is mine...
Fred: Yep! Though, I wouldn't make yours now. I would set it up when you write your will and testament. I don't think you'll be dying any time soon.
Chris: Well I don't plan on it! (Thoughts) So he made this for me... Well, obviously he didn't know it would be me! That would be ridiculous!
Fred: Well... Are you going to put them on?
Chris: Right!
[She tied the scarf around her head to keep her hair back and replaced the belt she had now with the one containing the scarf and gun. She stood up]
Chris: How do I look?
Fred: Like a pirate!
[They walk back through the cave and come out to the dawn light. They get back on the ship and Fred starts to rouse the men]
Fred: Come On Men! Up You Get! It's Time To Start The Day!
[The men get up grumbling about random things and start to work. Cedric walks up to Chris, with a tired look on his face]
Cedric: (Yawn) You look nice. You would definitely fit the role of Captain, looks wise.
Greg: I would never have a woman in charge of my ship!
Cedric: Well, too late. Your stuck with one!
[The two men continue arguing and Chris walks off to find something to do.]
Chris: Fred... What can I do to feel useful?
Fred: Ummm... Not quite sure... You could... learn how to steer the ship!
Chris: (Excitedly) Sure!!
[She starts to learn all about how to man the ship. She learns how to steer and keep the boat on course with the compass, she learns how to give orders, much to her delight of getting to boss Greg around, and she even learns how to hoist a sail and how to do everything with the many ropes on the ship. She learns how to be a Captain...]
