"Weakling."
"Giving up so soon? And you call yourself a Dark Cacao warrior."
"You are not who you claim you are."
Crunchy Chip was surrounded by darkness, once more. But this time, he was unable to move. He couldn't feel anything, touch anything, smell anything.
He was unable.
But there was one thing he could do: hear. He heard everything. What happened. Wildberry coming back and talking to him, supposedly kissing him, telling him he's going to save him. But he had no hope. He knew he'd be stuck like this, and when he died, he wouldn't know of it.
That was the most comforting thing about this whole situation. It would be painless, but slow. And though he'd leave a lot of people he liked in his life, he'd be in a better place.
He waited; waiting for death to open his arms for him, for him to walk and embrace it. Nothing happened. Or perhaps, was death already taking its toll?
And if he was to somewhat survive, what would Dark Cacao think of him? By now, he would've already found someone better than him.
"Caramel Arrow..." Black Raisin shook her awake. There were clouds forming in the sky, and she was getting nervous. "I'm getting nervous. What if this thing goes down? A storms brewing-""If you think like that, perhaps it will! Watch your mouth!" Caramel Arrow quickly snapped back. "Ok, I'm sorry! I've just... this is my second time on an airship. I'm still nervous." Caramel Arrow sent Black Raisin a sympathetic look. She, also, had been on an airship twice. She had to hide the fact that she was also nervous- she didn't want make Black Raisin feel worse."Look. We'll be alright, ok? These very experienced pilots will manoeuvre us out of this..." she trailed off as she saw some of the co pilots running back and forth, going for life jackets. Black Raisin herself was going to look, Caramel Arrow grabbing her cheek, forcing her to look at her."We'll be fine, you hear? We'll be just fine-"
"I'm sorry to disturb you, ma'am's, but just in case, I'll hand you these life jackets, as well." One of the co pilots came to them, shoving two life jackets in their faces. He then hurried of to the front of the airship.
"We're gonna die," Black Raisin whispered, "We're gonna die in- whatever the fuck this is made out of...""Get me the fuck out of here."
"Profanities," Caramel Arrow shushed her, "and, we're gonna be just fine. They did this last time for me. There was a big storm- bigger than this- and we were just fucking fine."
" 'profanities' "
"Oh would you shut the fuck up?"
The airship shook. One of the co pilots went flying, whilst another held onto a chair for dear life. Thunder could be heard from outside."What happened to 'we'll be just fine'? I don't see that happening." "Have faith have faith! Have faith..." Caramel Arrow gripped the chair beneath her. Black Raisin put her hand on her shoulder, shutting her eyes.
"Is the airship going down? Please say it isn't-""I can't die! Not yet! I have a village to protect! A life to live! Though I may be missing an arm, I'm still someone, aren't I..? Aren't I?!" Black Raisin cried. Caramel Arrow watched the other cookie cry her eyes out. She wasn't good at comforting.
She wasn't thinking. She kissed her on the cheek, thinking that would make her more at ease, and somehow, it did.
"Aha! We just fell into a rough path! We'll be just fine! I hope none of you ladies belongings ain't broken!" Caramel Arrow sighed with relief. She looked over to Black Raisin, who looked traumatised. "Are you ok? Are you hurt?"Black Raisin shook her vigorously. "I... spilt. I was scared in the moment. I thought I was gonna die." She then chuckled, "I'm sorry, Caramel Arrow cookie."
"It's fine! It's good that you spoke your mind in the heat of the moment. It taught me somethings about you.""What?""It taught me that your a very kind hearted cookie, who looks out for others."Black Raisin couldn't help but smile. In fact, she learned something from Caramel Arrow, too; she was someone she needed.
Wildberry watched the ancients talk from a rooftop. They weren't talking about the meeting, of course; the incident had had them occupied for some time now. He wished that they could move on, but if they did, what would they do to Crunchy Chip?
He could feel that one of them knew. Knew that something abnormal and not right was going on here, and that Espresso had been completely right labour everything.
No one is manly to kill.
Well, Wildberry is, though. Though he had he reasons.
"I'm telling you- someone not prohibited is here on these lands! I say we-""Calm down and stay sane." Dark Cacao interrupted. He knew Wildberry was still here. He also knew that if he was caught, somehow, somehow it would lead to him.
"But who else could it be?" Pure Vanilla said nervously. Hollyberry turned to him. "I've noticed, Pure Vanilla cookie... you've been pointing a lot of fingers recently. Now that I've thought about it, where have you been while the incident took place?" Wildberry could've sworn he saw a bead of sweat roll down Pure Vanilla's cheek.
"I was in my room. I was so mad at myself of why I didn't tell you guys about white Lily... if I had the courage I would've said a long, long time ago..." tears began to form in his eyes. "Oh... at least you have an alibi. Though, Pure Vanilla, you shouldn't be pointing fingers." Hollyberry walked off.
"I agree, Vanilla. Continuing to do so will prove your alibi wrong. It's alright, my friend. Get some rest."
How could cookies be so... naive? Gullible? Stupid?Wildberry clenched his fists. He's was going to add up the pieces.
Something doesn't feel right. Pure Vanilla was acting suspicious. And no one could see that but him.
