Harry's POV

The closer we got to the kindergarten, the more anxious I've gotten, and Lucas's annoying questions have not been helping.

"So, is it true you never wear underwear on stage?"

Fuck, he doesn't have a filter.

"Lucas!" Vallie scolds him, rolling her eyes at him as if he was a kid.

I take a deep breath, shaking my head at another one of his ridiculous questions, the corners of my lips forming an amused grin.

"What?" He hisses, "I've always wanted to know that."

"I, uh, I do wear underwear on stage," I reply to his question nonchalantly, "Sometimes, I mean," I add cheekily, my fingers tightly gripping on the wheel, and it is only now that I notice the wet trail they leave behind on the leather coated steering wheel.

I'm fucking sweating.

By the look on Valentine's face, I can tell she's already noticed how nervous I actually am when she shoots a loving smile in my direction.

"Lucas, please, enough with the questions for now," Valentine tells her brother, knowing how stressed out I actually am about Poppy.

We're supposed to pick her up from the new kindergarten in a few minutes, and to be honest, I've never been more nervous in my life.

I really hope she made some friends today.

Handing in the withdrawal notice to Poppy's old kindergarten was definitely the right decision to make, however, it now leaves us on the lookout for a new kindergarten, so I really hope Poppy's had a good time today, since it's still rather difficult to shift classes in the middle of the year.

She's going to start going to school in September, so attending kindergarten now is crucial, since not only that she needs to know all the basics, like drawing different kind of lines and doing some counting, she also needs to socialise with her peers.

Poppy has always been mature for her age and has always gotten along with adults better, for example, Valentine, whom my daughter calls her best friend. Of course, there's nothing wrong with that, but it's important that she makes some friends that are her age as well.

I have no doubts she'll get along well with Lucas though. He's literally a kid in an adult's body, I'm sure she'll love him.

"Can I have one more question, please?" He pleas, making puppy eyes at me.

I've been nervous before meeting him, I'm not going to lie, but I've brushed off all the anxiety when I continued to talk to him. Personality wise, him and Valentine are complete opposites, which is really funny.

While my girlfriend tends to get anxious and take all the things extremely seriously, always thinking everything through, Lucas doesn't really make a big deal out of anything. He's phlegmatic and spontaneous at the same time, very easygoing as well, I'd say.

I like him.

"No," Valentine says strictly at the same time as I reply, "Yes."

I've got a soft spot for her brother already.

Well, not that much of a soft spot as I want him to tell his parents what a good and funny guy I am, can't blame me for that.

I hope that when Valentine tells her parents we're dating, they'll be supportive of us, just like my mother is ever since she met Valentine.

I haven't told my family we're dating, either, but I can say with certainty they'll be on cloud nine when I tell them. Mum's been teasing me about Valentine for a while now, same goes with Gemma, who's become good friends with Valentine.
