Marionette's POV
I was shoved up against the wall. Right when I was about to see who it was...I woke up. I started hyperventilating. What the fuck was that?!
Who was that?!
I stood up. I ran out of my room. I saw my dad and ran up to him. I started hugging him.
"Hey princess. What's wrong?"
"I...can't go to school..."
"Why?"
"I-I'll die."
"No. You won't. Oh shit. Did you have a nightmare?"
I nodded.
"Someone was choking you?"
I nodded again.
"It was in school?"
"Mhm."
"Alright. You're not going. PRIM! COME HERE!"
I heard footsteps running.
"What's wrong?"
"She's not going to school."
"Nyx let's just unenroll her from there. She can do online."
"Damn. You read my mind."
I sniffled.
"S-so no more school? H-how will I see Z-Zed?"
"Oh? You like someone?"
I nodded as I sniffled.
"Down Onyx. Down."
"I'm fine. I'm good. How much do you like him?"
"A-a lot."
"Oh god. Well...you can hang out with him I guess. Go get ready."
"W-why?"
"I'm taking you to get your stuff from your locker."
I ran upstairs to my room. I quickly got ready. I didn't bother trying to look good. My dad drove me to my school.
"I'll go do what I have to. Go to your locker. I'll meet you there."
I walked to my locker with my head down. I ran up to my locker and quickly unlocked it.
"Hey! I've been looked for you!"
I looked over my shoulder.
"Hey Zed."
"Where were you?"
"A-at home." I said as my voice cracked.
"You're getting unenrolled?"
I nodded.
"My dad's in the office now."
"Is your brother here?"
"Probably. Why aren't you in class?"
"Ya know....that's a great question."
"Raven are you ditching?"
"Oh no. I'm just messing around. I got kicked out of class."
"Oh god. For what?"
"Kinda yelled at Larry's brother."
"You have a class with Chase?!"
"Yeah."
Oh god.
"Don't worry. I didn't say anything about you. It was just a stupid issue. We had to debate on something and it...didn't go well. Hey is that your dad?"
I looked and saw my dad walking towards us.
"Alright. You're not longer a student here. This Zed?"
"Hi. My first name's "Raven"."
"Well...I'm Onyx."
"W-we should go. I-I don't wanna cause anymore issues for you."
I ran away. I heard someone running after me.
"Sweetie what was that about?"
"I'm scared."
"He seems like a nice kid."
"He is. I just...don't wanna get hurt."
"Oh no. You're sounding like me. He can come over later if you want."
My face started to heat up.
"You know you can't do choir anymore right?"
"Yeah. I'm fine with it. I hated that teacher."
At home, I spent the day playing with my dog. I wrestled with him and played fetch with him.
"Go get it!"
He picked up the toy and brought back to me.
"You're such a good boy!"
I started rubbing his stomach.
"Who's a good boy? You are! Yes you are!"
"Damn. This is the first time, I'm seeing you smile that big."
My eyes widened. I turned around. I saw Raven. He crouched down next to me.
"H-hey. W-what are you doing here?"
"Your brother invited me over."
I gulped.
"I-is there a reason?"
"Just to hang out."
