He felt the presence of evil immediately she walked in and he immediately that she wasn't alone. She carried something else within her and this being didn't even care to hide it's presence.

His sensation had been confirmed when he had rushed in with other nurses to check up on the unstable patient and once again, he felt this presence, the evil and the rampaging woman's words confirmed it even more. It was obvious she was sensing this evil also and if possibly, seeing it for her to be so frightened. She knew the family and ever since she had been visiting, this was the first time he felt this evil from her. It was either she had been cursed or possessed either one he had to help her but before they could calm the patient down, she had already bolted out of the hospital despite all the calls that came after her she didn't turn.

He bit his lips cursing himself for not being able to help a needy person. He was a priest and a well acquainted exorcist and only worked at the asylum just to get extra funds which he would later donate to orphanages and the needy, it was just the way he lived.

Not everyone was gifted as he was. His ability to sense the presence of evil had started right from when he was a child and his prophecies that often came true had scared his parents and they had given him up to the church for better grooming. A day never passed without them visiting him and he felt loved everyday.

Everything came crashing down when he had the worst revelation in his life. It was his parents dead and he had woken up in the middle of night screaming. The reverend fathers around had rushed to him and he had revealed what he had seen but before they could reach out, his parents were already dead. Burnt in a house fire that had started without a cause. He fell into pitch darkness from that day, forsaking his gifts and forsaking everyone he ever had a chance to save. Once he had tried taking his own life but luckily, he was saved. His late teacher had rescued him from himself, pulling him out of the darkness and back into the light.

He had never wavered from the right path since then. He had proceeded into priesthood and specialized in exorcism helping as much people as he could. It was his vow to both himself and the church to save as much soul as possible and ever since then he has kept his promise.

He walked down the already dark path to his house humming a worship song as he walked by when suddenly he felt it again. That same evil from the hospital but this time it was faint. Very faint. It wasn't nearby but he could feel it's presence as if this time, this evil had taken form. Manifested.  The fear that bloomed in him almost sent him down on his knees but he managed to keep himself up. He would report to the church first thing the next morning. Something bad was about to happen and he could feel it

She stood before this creature that faced her. She did her best to wake up as she usually did but this time it was futile. She felt like her soul had been pulled out of her body and every effort she made to put it back was futile. Her heartbeat raced even faster almost breaking through her ribcages as it pumped blood faster making her burst with adrenaline.

Her legs almost gave in out if fear and she could almost faint when the figure had started moving. It's feet not touching the ground making her realize that she herself had been floating in a place of nothingness. She wasn't standing on a solid ground yet she wasn't falling.

"Ahhh" She heard a voice in her head while the creature circled her. She acted on instincts and tried to block the voice from her head. It was her head after all but it wasn't working. She could hear the beast cackling what started to be a whisper slowly rising to a scream she felt her head might implode from the sound that she had finally given up.

"You're finally ripe" the voice continued. It was deep and husky, every word pronounced in a low tune that made her shiver.

"This isn't real. This isn't real, this isn't real" she chanted hoping that if she continues saying it, it might actually change reality.

"It is as real as the earth and sky" the husky voice repeated this time around the figure had stopped behind her and as usual placed it's cold hands on her shoulders

"Now accept me, let us be one" it said.

She could feel it's breath if it breathed on her neck. It's cold hands on her shoulder and it's voice in her head. This was torture and for some reason she couldn't break free. She finally succumbed to her weak legs falling on her knees even though she wasn't on solid ground and still yet she wasn't falling.

"Get out of my head!" She finally commanded instantly breaking free and arising on her bed. Her body and duvet soaked with excess of her unending perspiration. She quickly rushed towards the bathroom to the sink throwing the rushing water on her face and convincing herself that it was just a dream. She almost smiled on the realization that she was dreaming even though it felt so real.

She didn't feel like sleeping anymore as she watched herself in the mirror panting and smiling at the same time.

"It's just a dream" she said out loud fetching another cup of water in her palms and splashing it over her face.

"It's just a dream" she repeated when suddenly, she could feel the water on her face going cold. She could feel the presence once more, it's presence. She decided not to look back, not wanting to see anything behind her while she closed her eyes and continued chanting "it's not real"

"Ahhh, but it is real, this is real" the husky voice returned in her head just before her eyes flashed open gazing into the mirror before her. She could see it, flowing just above her, it's arm on her shoulder while it's over cloaked body hovered over her. She didn't see but she felt it, his lips curve up into a smile before she passed out.
