Ryan rolled over on his bed, unable to sleep. He had missed school yesterday because he had been sick but something worse had just happened.
He had envisioned the death of many and that had added more to his already existing anxiety. Being an exorcist in training was more work than he had expected. Nobody knew this apart from him and the priest's that trained him and today was another day for him to return to the monastery for another training session before he was free for the week.
He only attended these exorcism classes once a week and for good reason.
When he was younger, he could low grade spirits and sometimes ghost's and this had been somehow fun for him, he spoke to them whenever he was bored and alone or whenever he had something bothering him. Only him could see them and having someone who wouldn't snitch on your secret was very relieving. He had continued like this, making more friends and his parents were clueless.
They had thought this was a childhood phase, when the child developed imaginary friends and were less concerned sometimes even encouraging him instead of snapping him out of his fantasy. He didn't blame then though, he didn't really want anyone to know he could see these things, it would make him look weird.
Everything was going good, almost every spirit, ghost he had met so far was nice friendly and caring until he decided to take things to the next level. Possession.
He had began allowing the spirits to possess his body so they could experience the pleasure of the world once again and since he trusted them more than himself even, he had allowed it and this was when his parents had began noticing some weird things. He was doing things a kid wouldn't normally be able to do, he had learnt almost everything in his books overnight and they thought this was strange.
Eventually, as things continued this way, he was taken to the hospital and after series of test, the doctors confirmed that he was okay and they eventually went home. But when he was thirteen, he had allowed himself to be possessed, unaware of the spirit that had taken hold of his body.
It wasn't a ghost or any low grade spirit, this was a demon and it had started wrecking havoc all around the place. He had just come to realize that the older he got, the more his gifts grew and now he could see much more than just ghosts and the friendly spirits.
When this demon had possessed him, it began tearing apart everything in its path even to the extent of attacking people on the streets and this was when his parents had finally taken him to the church. After which he was exorcised quite easily. The priest had told them that they were lucky, that demon was only a low grade demon. Even after his exorcism he could still see the demon bound in front of him by bright chains and his only wish was that it burnt in hell
After his experience, he shut himself from any form of possession and had opened up to his parents and the priest. They didn't freak out like he had expected or called him weird instead they had encouraged him to use his powers to help others and that had been what he has been up to.
Under the supervision of Father Clinton a powerful exorcist who had the gift of foresight.
He got down from his bed and got himself ready for his today's activities before finally driving off to where he was supposed to go
By the time he had arrived, father Clinton was already present and he was speaking to some higher ups before he arrived.
He had eventually finished his discussion before turning to him.
"Ryan my boy, how are you?" He asked as the both of them walked through the hallway passing other priests or monks who either sat praying or were doing other important things that were for the betterment of the monastery and the society at large.
,"I'm doing really great, thank you" Ryan replied not wanting to say anything about his dream, after all he wasn't the one with foresight.
"Any strange visions lately father?" He asked but the priest shook his head in disagreement before they finally entered a room.
Today they were going to be learning how to fully exorcise a demon. Lately, all he could do was bind the unholy entities but today he was going to learn how to fully banish them from earth..The room they had entered was termed the room of evil and inscribed clearly on the door was a warning that read. "Evil is greater behind this door"
This was where they bound demons used for training their beginning exorcists. Even though he felt this was risky, what other choice did they have.
The priest had pulled out a ceramic doll with markings on it and after reciting an unheard prayer, he let the object fall freely from his hand and shatter onto the floor releasing the demon that was trapped inside.
What the senior exorcist did was to bind lesser demon's to items or objects and store them away and every morning, the room was blessed and fortified because the evil within always weakened the fortification every day and failing to fortify the door or bless the room meant taking a risk that could cost thousands their lives.
He watched as the Demon emerged, and first surged forward towards the priest who had already protected himself with a protection prayer leaving only him vulnerable to attacks.
Without wasting time, he began chanting his exorcism verses making the demon run wild and throw itself around. He didn't stop but instead added in more verses as he watched the demon cry out and throw itself around in pain.
Nothing was in the room, except walls that we're blessed so even the walls actually hurt the demon as it threw itself around. It let out a shril cry before finally exploding into dust with him falling on his knees and breathing heavily.
His heart was racing and his head shaking.
"Impressive, that was better than last time" Clinton acknowledged while Ryan slowly stood to his feet.
The last time he had tried exorcising a demon, it had ended so badly he ended up rebinding the creature before it could reach him.
"Rest now boy, we will continue afterwards" father Clinton said before gesturing for him to take his leave which he did leaving the priest alone in the room before walking down the passage way accidentally bumping into another priest.

Sarah woke up on her bed but she remembers clearly passing out on the bathroom floor. She was now truly convinced that the tales of her family were true and her father had truly brought evil into the world but she was going to fix this, she was going straight to the church for an exorcism.
"Ah ah ahh," The demon revolted in her head suddenly materializing once more before her. "That is not a good idea, for me to be truly gone, you'll have to die" it said with a mild cackle in her head but she wasn't listening. She pretended she didn't see the creature in front of her even though her heart could pound it's way out of her chest anytime soon. It was still four am but she didn't care, she dressed not minding that the demon watched her while she did so. If she ignored it enough, it might actually leave her alone.
"You're a stubborn one aren't you?" It questioned rhetorically hovering around her but she still ignored the creature up until it drew a knife. .
Her jaw dropped in shock at the sight of the weapon but she had immediately regained herself remembering that the creature itself said that it would die if she died so he possibly couldn't kill her or could it?
"Unfortunately I can't" it replied sheathing the dagger and hiding it behind it's ragged heavy looking cloak.
It had only brandished the weapon to get her attention and the mind reading was just annoying.
"Oh Sarah, accept me and we can become one and together, we will be unstoppable" It said it's deep and husky voice echoing in her head.
She closed her thoughts, making the voice disappear before finally mustering the courage to ask
"Who are you?"
