Chapter 4: The body

Later that night

I was sitting at the DnD board not even playing or looking at the pieces. No, I was looking at Mike. Tears falling down my face every other minute.

I felt bad for Mike. That was his bestfriend after all, but he had no right to snap at me or El.

I knew El had good intentions. She does know where Will is. And that wasn't him.

I was not sad at the loss of they're friend, I were sad they thought they loss a friend.

As soon as you saw the body you felt no life, no soul, no...blood rushing through his vains.

Mike was sat on the couch looking at drawn pictures. Probably done by Will, if they were you had to say he was pretty talented.

El was playing with the supercomm in the fort. I thought it was annoying but I didn't stop her. I knew if you did I might yell, and that's the last thing I want right now.

Mike however was feed up with it. "Can you please stop that?" Mike said. This was one of the only times you had really seen him vulnerable.

El looked at Mike and turned it off. But once Mike looked away she turned it back on.

"Are you deaf? Y/N, stop her." Mike said getting more angry. I just looked at him with forrowed. I don't appreciate his tone.

"I thought we were friends, you know? But friends tell each other the truth. And they definitely don't lie to each other. You made me think Will was okay, that he was still out there, but he wasn't. He wasn't! Maybe you thought that you were helping, but you weren't. You hurt me. Do you understand? What you did sucks. Lucas was right about you. Both of you. All along." Mike said all that in a mixture of pain, sadness, and betrayal.

I went over to El to get her to stop playing with the supercomm. Just as I were about to ask her to put it up for the night. When a voice came over the supercomm singing.

I looked up at El and her bloody nose with a smile. I were proud of her.

Mike recognized the voice of his friend and ran over. El handed him the supercomm. Mike quickly took it from her.

"Will, is that you? It's Mike! Do you copy? Over." Mike said screaming in the supercomm.

Me and El knew that if he tryed to talked to Will, they would lose connection. But Mike still tryed "Will, are you there? Will!"

He gave up. "Was that? Was it?..." Mike ask.

El said nothing she was to tired. But you smiled and finished his sentence. "Will."

That night Mike went upstair knowing his friend was alive. While you and El went to sleep

The next morning everyone sat around El. I were to her left, Dustin beside me. On El's right was Mike and Lucas was in the middle.

She was playing with the supercomm when a thing that sounded like a baby came on and turned right back to static.

"We keep losing the signal, but you heard it, right?" Mike said. Trying to convince the others it was their friend.

"Yeah, I heard a baby." Lucas said starting the arument.

"What?"

"Mike, you obviously tapped into a baby monitor. It's probably the Blackburns' next door."

"Uh, did that sound like a baby to you? That was Will!"

"Mike..."

"Lucas, you don't understand. He spoke last night. Words! He was singing that weird song he loves. Even El and Y/N heard him!"
