I run out of my new house, almost tripping over one of the many boxes that I carried inside last night.

"Have a good day at school, Black!!" My mom shouted before I slammed the door shut.

"Thanks, mom!!" I shouted back, not knowing if she heard me or not.

Today might have not been the best dat to wear baggy jeans. I feel like I might trip over the cuff any time now, and then I will be late for school. Being late for school is the last thing I want. I need to make a good first impression on my teachers. Actually, not just my teachers- everyone.

I panted as I reached the bus stop. The bus pulled up only minutes later, and I raced up the small stairs.

"You headin' to Castellia City, kid?" The bus driver asked.

"Uh, yeah." I said, looking ahead in the isle for empty seats.

"Alright, go take a seat."

I took a seat in the back, sitting next to the window. I put my backpack next to me, hoping nobody will sit next to me. My backpack wasn't that big yet, since I only have a couple note books and a binder.

"We are now making way to Castellia City!" The bus driver said over the intercom before starting the engine and driving off.

.  .  .

"Go down the street and take a right. The school ain't far from here." The bus driver said.

"Alright, thanks!" I said before dashing out of the bus and taking the directions the bus driver told me to take.

"Woah..." I said to myself as I approached the school. The school was huge. It had many large windows covering the front, being at least three stories tall.

"Hopefully I won't get lost in here..." I said to myself again as I walked through the entrance, keeping my head down. Suddenly, I bumped right into someone!

"Oof!" The kid said, falling back, dropping some papers in his arms. "Watch where you're going!" He shouted, getting back up onto his feet and adjusting his glasses. I felt shivers as he gave me a sinister glare.

"S-Sorry about that!" I said, crouching down so I could help pick up his papers. It looked like posters for some sort of after school club. The kid snatched the papers from my arms and gave me another glare.

"These aren't your business." He said, holding the papers so I couldn't read them. I frowned, and looked at his friend who was standing behind him.

"Sorry about him..." She said, watching her friend walk off. "He never does well on Mondays. Anyways, nice meeting you!" She said, adjusting her green hat and walking off.

That was kind of weird... I hope everyone isn't like that. I thought to myself as I read my schedule. My homeroom was in room 107, so I didn't have to go up the stairs. Thank god.

I read the numbers on each door as I was getting closer and closer to my first class. Well, homeroom is technically a class, right?

"There it is! Room 107!" I said to myself as I pushed the door to open it.

"Uh... Ya actually pull it." A girl said from behind me. She had ash-brown hair tied up in a small ponytail, and she was also wearing a lot of blue.

"O-Oh, thanks..." I said. "Are you in the same homeroom as me?"

"Yep! You're new, aren't ya?" The girl said. "I'm Sapphire. It's nice to meet'cha!"

"Nice to meet you too, I guess." I said, pulling the door open. As I walked in the classroom, Sapphire walked beside me.

"Our homeroom teacher is really nice. She never has gotten mad at me before, which is kind of weird. Every other one of my teachers did, but I'm not complainin! Also, you can sit wherever ya like." She said, waving at a group of girls that were already sitting at desks. "See ya later!" She said as I watched her walk off. Was I already making friends this early?

I sat in a desk in the center of the classroom. It's usually what I do since I feel like it takes too much thinking to choose which side to sit at. Once it looked like most of the class was sitting at their desks, I watched the teacher walk in with a friendly smile on her face.

She had long, light brown hair that had a swoop at the front. She stood in front of the class and waited for them to stop talking, and then spoke up.

"Hello, class! I am Miss Oak for the ones who don't already know, but you all can just call me Daisy, I really don't mind." Daisy said as she took a seat at her desk. "We all will be doing introductions, so I will be reading everyone's names off of the attendance list alphabetically."

I sat in my desk nervously. I was not good at speaking in front of a large group of people. For some reason, I always stutter. I never knew why, and nobody had a good explanation for it.

"Alright... Next on the list is Black! Stand up please. It doesn't need to be a long introduction, just say your name and maybe some facts about yourself!"

I gulped as I stood up. It's going to be the same as my old school. Everyone is going to think my stutter is weird, and they'll laugh.

"Uh... H-Hi, I'm Black, and I'm, uh,  n-new here." I said, feeling my face heat up as I sat back down in my seat.

"Alright, thank you, Black! We're glad for you to be here! Now, next on the list..."

Nobody laughed. I thought. Is this school going to be different than the last one? Maybe mom is right...
