I frowned as I walked to my first period with only one thought on my mind. Why does my luck have to me this bad?? I thought I had P.E for first period, but it turned out to be darn chemistry!
...But that girl in homeroom was pretty cute. Hopefully I won't have any classes with her, cause I will make a even bigger fool of myself...! Well, maybe that makes two thoughts.
I sighed as I climbed up the crowded stairs. I dodged a backpack that almost was about to hit me, then I finally made it to my first period-- chemistry.
I pulled the door open and was greeted with the most stereotypical science-based classroom ever. There were basic tables lined up in three columns with two stools for each table. My eyes then fell upon that girl. When I say that girl, I mean White-- that girl from homeroom.
I huffed as I took a step into the classroom. There was a seating chart posted on the board. I observed it carefully, scanning the board for my name. I ended up getting a seat right next to White. What great luck I have.
I tried my best to avoid eye contact with her as I sat down next to her, placing my backpack on the ground.
"Hey, aren't we in the same homeroom?" White said, making me jump.
"H-Huh? Yeah, we are." I said back awkwardly.
White smiled. "It's nice to meet you! I'm White, if you weren't listening to my introduction earlier..." White paused. I could feel her gaze on me. "Hey, your face it kind of red." She said, making me jump again.
Ah, crap. She noticed.
"It is hot in here, though. The teacher never opens the windows. I had the same teacher last year. Their name is- Hey, are you sure that you're okay? No fever? Nothing?"
I sighed a sigh of relief. "Y-Yeah, it is pretty hot in here, you're right. I'm fine."
"That's good. Oh, the teacher's here!" White said, putting her attention towards the teacher who was walking in.
. . .
"That's it for class! Pack your bags and have a good rest of your day!" The teacher said, sitting at their desk.
I started to put my bag on when White grabbed my arm.
"Wait, where do you eat lunch?" She asked, keeping hold of my arm.
"U-Uh..." I blushed from the sudden contact.
"Oh, sorry! It's a habit of mine..." White said, letting go of my arm. "Anyway... If you don't have anywhere to sit, you can sit with me! You are new, right?"
I nodded. "Yeah, I'm new!" I pulled out my phone. "So what's your number?"
"Uh... Let me get my phone." White said. I watched her rummage through her backpack. She got a panicked expression. She took her arm out of her bag and looked at me with disappointment. "Sorry, Black. I can't find my phone. I must've lost it in my locker or something."
"Hey, it's fine! We all loose things. I can help you look for it if you want-"
"No, I can find it. Just promise to meet me at my lunch table- it's right near the cafeteria entrance!"
"Alright, see you there!" I said as I watched White put on her bag and walk out of the classroom.
I can't believe I made friends with my crush on my first day here...
