A Slap

Sooyoung stumbled upon Lisa and her boyfriend when she went to the back door. She did know that her boss was coming today. And they were flirting with each other.

Lisa realized there was someone around them and she looked around. She saw Sooyoung who stood not far from them with an awkward expression on her face.

Lisa quickly stepped away from Jungkook’s range. Jungkook saw this and frowned. Lisa ignored that and greeted Sooyoung.

“Morning, Sister Sooyoung.” Lisa said.

“Good morning, Miss Lalisa.” Sooyoung grinned to Lisa.

“Just do your own work. I just want to look around.” Lisa said.

“Yes, yes... I will do that.” Sooyoung nodded while grinning.

Then Sooyoung left them alone. Seeing Sooyoung left, Jungkook stepped closer to Lisa and pulled her close to him. While doing that, he maintained his blank expression. Lisa chuckled when seeing that.

“Let’s go around.” Lisa did not mind being close to Jungkook as she told that.

So, they walked around. The first place that Lisa went to was the kitchen. Right now, the kitchen staff was working on today’s lunch.

The staff saw Lisa and an unknown man entered the kitchen. The head of the chefs came and greeted Lisa. He knew that this young girl was their boss.

“Just do your own work. I just come and want to make some inspection.” Lisa said.

“Okay, Miss Lalisa.” The head of the chefs nodded and went back to his work.

Lisa went to see the ingredients that they had used. The seafood looked very fresh. Lisa nodded satisfyingly. Because Shiwa Town was far away from the sea, Lisa made a deal with a seafood supplier that they would send their fresh seafood every day to Saisei Ryokan to keep the freshness.

While doing so, the food would taste good since they used fresh ingredients. As for the vegetables, she did not have to worry about it. It came from her greenhouse. She knew about that.

Lisa and Jungkook left the kitchen. When they left, the kitchen staff took a relieved breath. They were relieved that their boss did not find any mistake with their work.

Lisa and Jungkook walked around the ryokan. The empty rooms, the laundry room, all of them, she went to take a look. Overall, she was satisfied with what she had seen. Meaning the quality that she wanted for this ryokan was good.

They walked until Lisa realized that they were in front of the onsen. Seeing this place, it brought back the embarrassing yet exciting memories to Lisa. Her face turned red. She sneaked a peek at Jungkook. At the same time, Jungkook also looked at his beloved Lili with a smiling face.

Lisa turned away quickly. She knew Jungkook might also remember what had happened inside the onsen. She sprinted away without waiting for Jungkook.

Jungkook chuckled when seeing her cute and embarrassing self. He knew that she ran away because she was embarrassed when remembering the things that they had done in the onsen. Jungkook quickly followed his beloved Lili.

Lisa stepped in the garden. The scene of wisteria flowers calmed her down. Still, her ryokan’s garden was indeed beautiful. Sooyoung told her that many of their customers had praised the beautifulness of this garden, especially, the wisteria flowers which hung over the roof.

“It is still beautiful.” Jungkook commented.

“Of course, this is my work after all.” Lisa felt proud when hearing her Jungkook praised them.

They sat at the table and enjoyed the scene.

“Lili.” Jungkook called Lisa.

“Hum...?” Lisa was enjoying the breeze. It felt very good.

“I’m sorry about the thing which has happened to my old m... I mean my grandfather’s party.” Jungkook said so sudden that Lisa could not react in time.

“You know?” Lisa managed to ask that.

“Of course. I have my ways to know what has happened at that party.” Jungkook said. “I already made them suffer for what they have done to you.”

“Oh, really? Can I know about it?” Lisa’s eyes flashed an evil look for a second.

“You really want to know?” Jungkook asked. He hesitated to tell her since he did not want her to be scared of him.

“Just tell me. I don’t mind.” Lisa smiled.

“Both of them will be going on a trial.” Jungkook began to tell her.

“A trial?” Lisa pretends not to understand.

“For the past few years, they have committed several crimes.”

“What were their crimes?” Lisa kept pretending that she did not believe that those siblings would commit other crimes. Were they playing with the drugs? Or selling them?

“Raping countless women.” Jungkook answered.

“What?” Lisa did not realize that she had almost screamed when she heard Jungkook told her about their crimes.

Lisa made a look of being in deep thought that she was the only victim who had almost fallen into their hands. If not for her body that did not react for those things and her amazing sense of smell, she might not be able to escape.

“The younger sister used to drug the women and send them to her brother. After that, they had threatened the women saying they had the videos about them being raped by him. If she reported to the police or told someone about that, they would show the videos to others. That sibling also said that the police was their ally” Jungkook humped.

Lisa’s face turned to cold look. She showed that she had never thought that siblings would be so evil. The women, they must be feeling scared about what happened and could not do anything to that sibling.

“I found those women and made them reported that sibling committed the rape crime. At first, they did not want to step forward afraid that the video about them would be shown to others. However, after convincing them there were no such things and explained that we are from the military, they agree to do so. That pair of siblings also did something else. Such as bullying someone, buying the drugs and this evidence lead them to a trial.” Jungkook explained.

“Right now, both of them are in the hospital.” Jungkook added.

“Both of them? I have only beaten the man.” Lisa asked.

“That woman has jumped from the room to escape from the police when the police wanted to take her to the police station.” Jungkook said.

“Oh, I see.” Lisa laughed.

“As for their parents....” Jungkook wanted to continue but Lisa stopped him.

“Let me guess. Their parents do not do anything especially their father. He does not want to involve in this because he is afraid that this may affect their business. As for their mother, she wants to help their children but she does not have enough power to make the authorises listen to her words.” Lisa made a guess. While looking at Jungkook, she asked. “Am I right?”

Jungkook was stunned. It was exactly what she had said. “Yeah. How do you know?”

“Well, I just make an assumption after observing their parents’ attitude when my incident between them has happened. During that time, their mother has protected Jeon Hua Hong very tightly. While their father has just kept his mouth shut.” Lisa smiled.

“I see. My beloved Lili is a smart person.” Jungkook praised his beloved Lili.

“They will be punished fairly according to the law. With enough evidence and witnesses, it would not be so easy to get out of this.” Jungkook sneered. “That is the payment for trying to touch you.”

“Thank you.” Lisa thanked Jungkook. He was doing that because of her. Of course, she was thankful.

Lisa was currently in the plane flying towards Fanghai Nation. Her grandfather was sitting beside her in the first-class cabin.

One day before the flight...

“You want to go to Fanghai Nation? For what?” Lisa was shocked when hearing her grandfather suddenly wanted to go to Fanghai Nation. It must be something.

“Actually, you know, my friend, Sang Wan Yi called me to go there. There is something that he wants me to take a look at.” Grandpa Tang explained.

“Take a look?” Lisa confused.

“Yeah. Probably some new virus perhaps.” Grandpa Tang nodded.

“Okay. But I’m going too.” Lisa made the decision.

“Fine. Actually, I also want you to come with me. You can learn about this too.” Grandpa Tang said.

Because of that conversation, they were in the flight now. Grandpa Tang seemed in a deep sleep. Lisa did not want to wake up her grandfather. So, she moved to another seat where there was no passenger. She opened her laptop and read some emails. Almost all her emails had come from Namjoon, Song Tao, and Sooyoung. Those were basically the reports about her businesses.

She was reading some of the reports until she was so tired. She closed the laptop and moved back to her original seat. She closed her eyes taking some rest.

“Lisa... Lisa...”

She heard someone calling her name. She opened her eyes and saw an unfamiliar place. Suddenly she remembered that she was in the flight going to Fanghai Nation together with her grandfather.

“You are awake.” Grandpa Tang said. He was the one who was calling Lisa’s name just now.

“Have we landed already?” Lisa asked.

“Not yet. But we are about to land.” Grandpa Tang answered.

“I see.” Lisa adjusted her position.

Then they could feel that the flight currently landed on the ground safely. It was morning at Fanghai Nation.

“Let’s go to our hotel first. I will inform Wan Yi about our arrive later.” Grandpa Tang said.

So, they went to the hotel to refresh themselves and breakfast. After breakfast, someone from Grandpa Sang’s side came and invited them to go to the Sang Hospital.

Grandpa Sang greeted them after meeting them in his office.

“Oh, you are here too, Lisa.” Grandpa Sang seemed to be surprised to see Lisa here.

He did not expect that Lisa was going to come here too. He had forgotten that this girl was Tang Jiang Man’s adopted granddaughter. And now he was about to bring her to see her real family. He looked at Lisa. He sighed. ‘Well, they can not know this girl is a member of their family unless that old man wants to tell them.’

“What is the thing that you wanted to show to me?” Grandpa Tang did not wait but got straight to the point.

Grandpa Sang gave a laugh. “You really are an impatient person. Come. Follow me.”

They walked to a VIP ward. Grandpa Sang knocked on the door. When he received the answer from the person inside, only then Grandpa Sang opened the door and entered. Grandpa Sang invited Lisa and Grandpa Tang to enter the room. Grandpa Tang entered but Lisa did not.

Lisa excused herself to go to the toilet first. She would come back later. Grandpa Tang nodded.

In the room, Grandpa Tang saw a man with three women. One of the women sat on the patient bed with a pretty bad wound on her face.

“Mr Mu Li Zei, this is a famous doctor, Doctor Tang Jiang Man. I have invited him to take a look at your daughter.” Grandpa Sang introduced Grandpa Tang to Mu Li Zei.

“Nice to meet you, Doctor Tang. I have heard so much about you.” Mu Li Zei greeted Grandpa Tang.

Grandpa Tang only nodded. Turned to Grandpa Sang, he said. “I bet you have called me here to take a look at this girl right?” Grandpa Tang pointed to Yoohyeon who was laying on the bed.

“Yeah. I have already used various method to heal the wounds But still...” Grandpa Sang sighed.

“I can take a look but I can not promise that I can heal them as well.” Grandpa Tang said.

“Just take a look first.” Grandpa Sang nodded.

Grandpa Tang approached Yoohyeon. Yoohyeon just ignored Grandpa Tang. She just let the old man take a look at her wounds. Grandpa Tang frowned. He never saw something like those wounds.

“Tell me about these wounds first.” Grandpa Tang turned and asked Grandpa Sang.

Grandpa Sang nodded and he began to tell Grandpa Tang. “It started when she scratched her whole body. She said that she felt itchy and she seemed did not realize that she had scratched herself. Then the thing started to get weird. Her wounds had maggots in it.”

“Maggots? How could those things appear inside her wounds?” Grandpa Tang was feeling disgusting.

“That... I actually did not know how it has happened. After cleaning and throwing those maggots, they actually returned back on the next day when we opened to clean the wound. I was pretty sure that we threw all of the maggots before wrapping the wound.” Grandpa Sang sighed.

“After three days, the maggots did not return back. But the maggot already ate her flesh. And the wounds did not show any kind of healing.” Grandpa Sang continued.

“Do you know why she started to catch this in the first place?” Grandpa Tang asked.

“Well, it was probably...”

Grandpa Sang did not manage to answer that yet, and Su Yu Qing shouted.

“What? If you can’t heal my daughter. Just say so. You useless old man.” Su Yu Qing shouted.

PANG!

Su Yu Qing felt her face was burning due to the slap. She did not manage to dodge the person who had slapped her. It happened too fast.

Everyone looked at the girl who had slapped Su Yu Qing just now. The girl seemed to stand proudly even after she had slapped someone.

“Who the heck are you? How dare you slap me?” Su Yu Qing roared at the girl. She did not know this girl. Why had she come into this ward and brazenly slapped her?

“Your mouth should be washed since it stinks.” Lisa snorted.

“You...!” Su Yu Qing pointed her finger at Lisa.

“It’s you, bitch. Why are you here? How dare you slap my mum?” Yoohyeon stood up and shouted at Lisa.

Minji also recognised the girl who had slapped her mother. What was she doing here?

“Why have I slapped her?” Lisa glared at Su Yu Qing. “How dare she insult my grandfather? Do you expect me to remain silent when someone insults my grandfather?”

Yoohyeon did not expect that this girl was the granddaughter of the famous doctor. She snorted. ‘What if he is a famous doctor? He did not even know how to cure me. Useless doctor.’

“What? What my mother has said is the truth. He can’t cure me either.” Yoohyeon snorted.

“Oh, then. There is no need for me to be here anymore.” Grandpa Tang smirked. He did not want to treat someone that looked down on his skill. Not like he was the one that needed help. “Let’s go, Lisa.”

The pair of grandfather and granddaughter left the room leaving the stunned Grandpa Sang. He did not expect that Su Yu Qing behaved like this. Was she stupid or what?

“Mrs Mu, you actually don’t want your daughter to get better, do you?” Grandpa Sang asked while grinding his teeth.

“Why are you saying like that, Doctor Sang?” Su Yu Qing frowned.

“He is probably the only one who can cure your daughter.” Grandpa Sang said. He continued, “He is an expert in traditional medicine. Since your daughter can not be cured by modern techniques, I want to try the traditional one. But I think right now you can forget about it.”

“But Doctor Sang, you just tried to tell that my daughter had been using drugs to that doctor. It was not necessary to tell him.” Su Yu Qing rebuked.

“To find the cure, all information is needed.” Grandpa Sang responded in angry. “Since it becomes like this, you can let your daughter live her life like this.”

“No!!!” Yoohyeon shouted. “I want to get better.”

“Then you should try to convince that useless old man at whom your mother has shouted just now.” Grandpa Sang left the ward after saying the sentence.

“Mum...” Yoohyeon called her mother.

“Don’t worry, your father and I will do something.” Su Yu Qing calmed her daughter.

Minji sneered. Her mother acted recklessly. She looked at her father. It seemed that her father was thinking about something else.

Mu Li Zei did not say anything. He was busy thinking about something. That something was Lisa. When Lisa entered the ward and slapped his wife, he was stunned. He knew that face. The face that had made his mother sad over the past many years

When he grew up, he always saw his mother crying alone in her room. When he became a teenager, he started to ask his mother about it. Her mother told him that his father loved someone else. He became angry. At that time, he did not want his father to leave his family alone. Not soon after that, his mother told that the woman had already died. But his father did not forget her. He never loved his mother because of that woman.

His mother showed him one picture of that woman. Since she was the source of the unhappiness of his mother, he remembered that woman’s face vividly.

Now that face had appeared in front of him again and more precisely alive. That woman should have died for a long time ago. But the face which had appeared in front of him right now was 100% copy of that woman. Was it just a coincidence? Or that girl had a relationship with that woman? Or that girl was the product of his half brother? He needed to investigate it.

Mu Li Zei wanted to leave the room. Seeing this, Su Yu Qing called her husband.

“Li Zei, where do you want to go?” Su Yu Qing asked.

“I have something to do.” Mu Li Zei answered and left without waiting for Su Yu Qing to stop him again.

“Mum, Mum, I don’t want to stay like this for the rest of my life.” Yoohyeon cried.

“Then, why did you fight with that girl earlier?” Minji snorted. She really did not understand her mother and sister. Why were they so stupid? They should have let the doctor check her first. Instead of bickering with the doctor and his granddaughter.

As for the girl, Minji did not expect that she had such an identity. No wonder, that girl did not easily bow to them during the incident at the restaurant last time.

Su Yu Qing made a terrible expression. “What should I do?” She looked at Minji.

“Mum, you should go and look at the earlier doctor.” Minji suggested. Well, that only if the doctor agreed to heal her after all of this.

“But what if he doesn’t want to heal your sister?” Su Yu Qing asked.

“Then we should find another doctor.” Minji said.

“Okay. I will go and ask Doctor Sang about this.” Su Yu Qing went out.

“Sister Minji, what if my face could not be healed?” Yoohyeon asked while crying.

“Stop crying. It might worsen your wound on your face.” Minji advised her sister.

Actually, she disliked her sister’s character. She was arrogant, no matter where she was. She also an idiot. Earlier, she should let the doctor diagnose her first, even after their mother insulted the doctor. She should assess the situation for her own good. But she was very stupid to add the insult and made the situation worse.

“I have work to do at the office. You just should wait for mum to come back.” Minji left the ward.
