Call Me Brother

“You have already given the letter to her?” The man asked.

“Yes.” This was the first-year student who had given the letter to Lisa earlier.

“Good. Here is your reward.” The man threw some cash on the ground.

The first-year student collected and left the place.

“Woman, we will meet again.” The man smiled alone.

Lisa walked towards the club. Other club members were already here to discuss the main attraction to promote their club.

The previous captain, Captain Heng Ru Yen chose Zu Wei Han as the new captain and Shi Man Xie as the vice captain. Everyone agreed with the arrangement. At first, Shi Man Xie was nominated as captain but after debating with other club members, they drew a conclusion.

When Shi Man Xie heard that he had been nominated, he quickly rejected that. He told them that the position was too high for him. Actually, he did not want to hold such an important responsibility because he knew it would be hard for him to handle it.

In the end, everyone voted for Zu Wen Han as their new captain. Zu Wen Han had a personality as the previous captain. He should be suitable for the position.

As the idea for attraction for promoting the shooting club, Vice Captain Shi Man Xie provided it. Lisa would be shooting the apples placed onto the other club members head if the other club member did not mind about that.

Zhu Xiao Ling suggested something that could enhance that promotion, so everyone agreed.

When they heard the idea, some of them offered their heads... Oops, wrong, it was their help. Well, Lisa was an idol in the shooting club. Captain Zu Wen Han agreed to the idea since the other club members agreed on themselves.

So the other club members began to promote the main event. Some of them handed out the pamphlet about the shooting club. The club had three days to promote their club. The shooting club wanted to hold the main attraction on the last day. The best thing always on the last day.

The man had been waiting at the tennis court about a half-hour. The girl still did not appear. He was starting to doubt the boy who he had asked to help. Did he really hand out the letter to the girl?

Because of his handsome face, there were a lot of the girls who had asked him out. Even though he was a playboy, he only had eyes for beautiful girls. Not every girl could enter his eyes.

The girl who he had met before was very beautiful. He wanted to try his chance. Even though he knew that she already had a boyfriend. But it was just a boyfriend. He was not his husband yet. But even she already had married, he could also try for it. Since cheating with other’s wife seemed exciting.

“Miss Tang, right?” A man asked her, wanted to confirm her identity.

Lisa did not answer that immediately. She looked at the man up and down as she inspected him.

“My boss wants to meet you. Can you go and see him first?” The man asked in polite tone but Lisa could sense some threatening tone in his voice.

The man did not understand why his boss wanted him to be polite to the girl like this and not try to force the girl. The most important part that he could not understand was when his boss said, ‘don’t try to fight her.’ The girl in front of him was so delicate. He thought she would not even know how to fight.

Lisa gave a faint smile to the man.

“Do you think I’m a dog...” Lisa paused.

The man did not seem to understand what was the girl in front of him was talking about.

Then Lisa continued her sentence. “Like you?”

The man was silent for a second. Then his face changed. He understood what the girl had meant. From the sentence, the man caught its meaning. This girl just called him a dog right in front of him.

“Girl, watch your mouth. And just follow me. Otherwise...” The man threatened Lisa.

“Otherwise, what? Do you think just because your master wants to meet me and I have to obey him? Who does he think he is?”, Lisa snorted.

Lisa stepped aside to walk away from there. She did not have time to waste on this man. She had already guessed who the boss of the man was. Probably that Jongin. He was still the same.

The man tried to grab Lisa. However, his arm had been grabbed by Lisa. Not only that, Lisa snapped his arm from his shoulder which had made the man shout in pain.

“If you dare to grab me again, I will do the same thing to your right hand.” Lisa was just smiled faintly. But the smile did not reach her eyes.

The man stepped back a few distances. No wonder his boss told him to be careful of the girl. She knew the martial arts. She dislocated his arm from his shoulder just like that.

Seeing the man did not want to mess with her again, Lisa went to the club leisurely. She was humming.

Vice-Captain Shi Man Xie came and got Lisa. Lisa did not know what her senior wanted from her.

“Lisa, come here.” Vice-Captain Shi Man Xie felt excited when seeing Lisa.

“Senior, what do you...” Lisa could not finish her sentence.

Vice-Captain Shi Man Xie had already pulled her hand. So, she followed her vice-captain to their club room. In the club room, everyone seemed to wait for her as their face showed a smile upon seeing her appeared in front of them.

“What are you guys doing right now?” Lisa asked.

“Lisa, change to this attire.” Vice-Captain Shi Man Xie gave a paper bag to her.

“Tell me, what it is? Otherwise, I will not wear them.” Lisa looked at her club members.

“Sister Lisa, don’t worry. It is not a weird outfit.” Zhu Xiao Ling appeared from behind her senior and assured Lisa.

“Oh, you are here too.” Lisa smiled to Zhu Xiao Ling.

“Sister Lisa, go and try the outfit. I can not wait to see you in this outfit. Hurry up.” Zhu Xiao Ling pulled Lisa to go and change her outfit.

Lisa entered the changing room. ‘Why are they so excited? What is this outfit?’ Lisa thought while opening the paper bag.

Lisa was indeed surprised by what she saw. Lisa smiled.

“Welcome, welcome, welcome to new students and others. For this evening, our club has prepared something special for you to watch. This is our promotion event.” Vice-Captain Shi Man Xie was acting as an MC for the event. “I hope you will enjoy our show.”, he continued.

Right after Vice-Captain Shi Man Xie finished talking, Lisa appeared in an attracting outfit. It was an ancient Chinese outfit which usually used in fantasy Chinese dramas. It was red in colour and really look good on Lisa.

This was the outfit that the club members prepared for her. Lisa was very happy to wear it. She liked it very much. Lisa acted what had they had been practising before.

The club members wanted others to know that the shooting club was a club that not only focused on the shooting skill and training but also fun. So, one of them suggested they made a play. The play portrayed a girl who came from the future and displayed her skills in making the gun and used it for destroying the evil.

This story was writing by Zhu Xiao Ling. Lisa never thought Zhu Xiao Ling liked to write something like this. She said that it was her hobby.

Lisa took a rest. The play had ended with lots of applause. The audience was very happy with the play. Meaning, it was a successful event. Lisa was resting at an open space behind their training ground.

“Li-er, it has been a long time since I saw you like this.”

Lisa was shocked when she heard that someone had called her. She did not sense the person at all. When did he come here? Lisa turned to the person.

She was surprised for the second time. The person was Mingyu. She did not expect to see him here at her university.

“Mr Qin, you...”

Lisa was pulled into his hug. Lisa struggled to get out from his hug. But it was not working. Despite looking skinny, Mingyu was stronger than his looks. Lisa used 100% of her strength but the man still did not move at all.

‘How strong this man is?’ Lisa still struggled. “Mr Qin.” She tried to call him.

Hearing her voice, Mingyu woke up. He let her go. He looked so shocked. Then he faced Lisa with a sad expression. The girl who he loved did not call him Senior Brother Mingyu but Mr Qin. He actually forgot that she did not remember him or their time together. When he saw her in this outfit, he thought that what happened was a dream and she was still the same as like usual.

He forgot that thousands of years had passed. But his heart ached when seeing her like this. It was torturing him.

Lisa was affected by the look given by Mingyu. She did not know why but she wished that Mingyu would be happy rather than looking like this.

Lisa shook her head. “It’s okay if you are fine, Mr Qin.”

“Can I ask one request?” Mingyu asked.

“Request? If the request is something that I can do, I will do.” Lisa nodded.

“Can you call me, Brother** Mingyu?” Mingyu said.

“Huh?” Lisa was dumbfounded. What was that request? Call him, Brother Mingyu?

“Yeah. Call me, Brother Mingyu.” Mingyu nodded.

‘Well, it is just a name. He is also older than me. It will not hurt if I call him Brother Mingyu.’ Lisa thought.

“Brother Mingyu.” The word naturally came out from Lisa’s mouth like she was used to calling him that way. Even Lisa felt the same way.

Mingyu finally smiled. He looked at Lisa with affection.

“Lisa, I hope you will call me like that in the future.” By saying the sentence, Mingyu turned away and left. Leaving Lisa in a dazed state.

“Sister Lisa, what are you doing here?” Zhu Xiao Ling came and pulled Lisa’s hand.

Lisa looked at Zhu Xiao Ling and turned to the direction where Mingyu had left again. Then she sighed. She felt something was wrong but she could not point it out.

“Nothing. I just took some rest here.” Lisa left the matter aside. “How about our club? Do the new students apply for the club?”

“Right after Sister Lisa’s excellent performance, there are a lot of students who wanted to join our club. But there are too much of them. Vice-Captain has told us to accept the letter of applications first and tell the new students to come to our training ground for tomorrow and further notifications.” Zhu Xiao Ling explained.

“After that, I have heard that Vice-Captain talking with Captain. They are saying that they need to use that method then. What have they meant by ‘that’? What method?” Zhu Xiao Ling asked.

“Oh, that method.” Lisa smiled.

“Tell me, Sister Lisa. I want to know too.” Zhu Xiao Ling urged Lisa to tell her.

“Our club has a special method to choose our new members. By holding two buckets of water with both of their hands. Well, you can take a look tomorrow.” Lisa chuckled.
