Steve had realised something he thought would never happen just a few days ago. He had the biggest crush on a friend of his.

That's why he was so scared to confess. If she didn't like him back, the friendship would be ruined. He'd have to deal with two kinds of rejection.
Robin listened to him rant on a daily basis. Just like this day.
"Ask me why my heart's inside my throat", Steve ranted as Robin and he sorted movies, "I mean, I've never been in love. I've been... alone."
Steve greeted a customer that came in.
"I feel like I've been living life asleep", Steve continued quietly, "Love's so strong, it makes me feel so weak."
Another customer came in without Steve knowing. She flicked through some vinyls and DVDs absentmindedly.
Robin looked at him: "Are you lonely, Steve?"
"I mean, our fingers dancing when they meet", Steve daydreamed, "Am I lonely? I'll be the only dream Y/N seeks."
"So if your lonely, no need to show her...", Robin started grinning.
"If you're lonely, come be lonely with me", Y/N tapped Steve's shoulder, blushing and grinning.
Steve flinched, turning around and dropping multiple movies in the progress: "How long have you been standing there?"
"You're little confession there was really cute",
Y/N winked at him, "Long enough to know that."
