I don't feel like doing an individual review on each of them, so have this instead lol. Also SPOILERS if you have not read the books. Once I get into reading Good Wish Gone Bad and Stealing Starlight I may give more in depth reviews on each of them separately tbh. Leave comments as usual I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on each of these books

SAGE & THE JOURNEY TO WISHWOLD

Honestly? For pretty much serving as the pilot episode for everything it's not bad, but once you read the rest of the books it falls flat by comparison. Most of the book is exposition, worldbuilding, etc. Which isn't bad I love those things lol, but for being the first wish mission Sage's isn't too remarkable. I don't hate this book, I don't love this book, but I wouldn't read this book too often

LIBBY & THE CLASS ELECTION

I think this one was an improvement over the previous one. I don't have much to say, other than it was much better than seeing Libby being yelled at for being girly in the animated series lol.

LEONA'S UNLUCKY MISSION

Seeing Leona at some fancy boarding school for her wish mission was fun and her bond with Ophelia was very sweet and wholesome. I also like not seeing her portrayed as a brat lol. The whole plotline with Scarlet getting kicked out is also very interesting and Leona's wish and wish pendant getting wrecked really helped raise the stakes.

9/10

VEGA & THE FASHION DISASTER

I actually enjoyed this book a lot? Idk why, but the wish mission itself as well as getting to learn more about Vega likely made it so good for me. Her wisher was also awesome and her wish was pretty unique compared to the rest of the wishes in this series. There's really no problems with this book ngl.

10/10

SCARLET DISCOVERS TRUE STRENGTH

Come on this is the finale of the Scarlet being kicked out by mistake arc. Scarlet and Ophelia working together on the wish mission I found adorable and this book gave some good depth to the both of them. Even the wisher herself was so sweet and it actually had a heavier plot than usual. One of the best books in the series.

CASSIE COMES THROUGH

And it all went downhill wow lol. My major problem with this book that makes me not like it so much is the STUPID NAIL POLISH. The nail polish is supposed to be another sabotage but it's really just something thrown in to lengthen Rancora's list of evil deeds. It's not scary or threatening, just annoying. It's a cheap way to make Cassie more confident (read: obnoxious, thus making her hard to like as the protagonist) instead of having her overcoming her shyness through the wish mission. This could've easily been on par with Vega's, Libby's or Piper's if they put effort into actual character development, but nah they screwed it up. Also now the wish energy crisis becomes important with a random blackout??

3/10

PIPER'S PERFECT DREAM

Again I don't have much to say on this one, but I enjoyed the whole diner aspect of her wish mission and the insight onto Piper's prophetic dreams and such, as well as Astra gaining respect for her. I don't have any issues with this book tbh. Unrelated to the book itself but why is x-ray vision called sunray vision lol, especially since technically 'sunray vision' shouldn't be any different from regular eyesight. Guess starray vision sounded too stupid.

9/10

ASTRA'S MIXED UP MISSION

Learning about Astra's background was cool. The wish mission itself was cool. The dumb random nail polish being gone was a gift from the heavens. I adored the wisher Emily. The one (1) problem is that it had sooo much pointless and condescending bragging about being born knowing writing reading mathing etc. like wth, if that's the case then astral accounting and several other classes or maybe even most of school itself on Starland is pointless lol shut up

TESSA'S LOST AND FOUND

I came into this book hearing about that it's gonna reveal how Starland discovered Wishworld and began granting wishes to power their planet. I expected some nice good lore. I got random dialogue from a teacher that some scientist basically went to the wrong destination and accidentally granted someone's wish. You telling me an entire planet based their self-worth on this mistake lol. A groundbreaking mistake? Yes, lots of scientific discoveries were not intentional. But it still felt cheap to me, especially since it was forgotten about immediately. They didn't even say anything about pre-wish granting Starland. The wish mission itself was good and Tessa being so loyal to Lady Stella despite it seeming like she was evil (kinda wish she was, would've thickened the plot) but i'm still disappointed. Random but Tessa saying Lady Stella is so powerful unlike Lady Cordial and thus is taken seriously? Bold statement lol

ADORA FINDS A FRIEND

Kay this book was actually super good??? Not only the whole rescuing other SDs from cave part but seeing Adora learn to be more concerned for other's people's feelings including her own was great, and her wisher Hannah finding out about Starland was also great. I actually related to Hannah a lot which is probably why I got annoyed when Adora said some rather unconsiderate things throughout the book but the character development makes up for it. I kinda wanna see what would've happened if Adora didn't hug Hannah and thus she remembered everything, but the book is still top tier regardless lol

10/10

CLOVER'S PARENT FIX

Poor Clover. I always found her the most forgettable SD due to not really having a defined gimmick/role and her book is shoehorned between the book above and the book below. It was nice getting some more depth on Clover though, and how much she looks up to Lady Stella and thus being distressed by the thought of all the encouragement from her being fake. The wish mission itself was... ok? Decent? Her having to sleep on a random mall mattress is funny lol. But the book as whole felt lacking. I guess it's meant to serve as a breather episode from Adora's and Gemma's, but it needs something to stand out on it's own which is a running theme with Clover

6/10

GEMMA & THE ULTIMATE STANDOFF

Yay the character I related to when I first found this series lol. Finally seeing Gemma portrayed as something other than a comedic relief or annoying chatterbox. I enjoyed her wish mission being around Halloween a lot and her standing up to Rancora was awesome. My main problem is that.. THE STANDOFF IS BARELY A STANDOFF. The major stakes come from Leona almost dying but being saved from mo-j4 last minute and Starland getting a permanent blackout that makes them have to do everything manually (which doesn't help with raising the stakes and showing how bad the wish energy crisis is lol). Lady Stella being here is just as, if not worse than her in the Power of Twelve. At least there she tried to put up a fight against Rancora for the sake of the SDs. Here she just stands around doing nothing with Sage's mum and then shows off her power later by wiping all the students memories. *slow clap*. Rancora also doesn't feel as evil and scary and threatening as she is in the special. The SDs also don't fight at all and just make a circle with power crystals as everything glows cinematically. It just feels like a letdown since this is meant to be the grand finale, then again my expectations were probably too high lol. I still love Gemma getting some much needed attention and her turning bad wish into a good wish to counteract the bad vibe energy, and despite my complaining over the final battle that made this into a super long paragraph lol the book is far from being mediocre or garbage
