The ride back to the base was very silent. And honestly I preferred it that way.

Hayeon: I...

I gave her a glance and saw that she was looking at me.

Taeyong: You are scared to meet my members aren't you?

Hayeon: Yeah...

Taeyong: Without the jackets, at home, we are very much like a big family. Sometimes fights arise but they are quick to be handled.

I took a deep breath.

Taeyong: But I will be honest. Just because my members are not wearing their jackets, it doesn't mean that they won't attack. We have a training area and we have important meetings. And you will be out of all of them.

I gave her another glance.

Taeyong: Only because I am keeping you safe, I can't let you in on our business. You wouldn't want that anyway right?

Hayeon: Got it.

Taeyong: You can go to your office. But one or two members will tag along with you every time. And you will always have a female member on your side.

Hayeon: Alright.

Silence followed until she broke the ice.

Hayeon: Nari seems close to you...

Taeyong: Huh?

Hayeon: When Jaehyun introduced her to me, she asked me how I knew you, and even looked at me skeptically as if very protective of you. Are you two dating?

I chuckled to that.

Taeyong: I hate how everyone concludes to that. But no Hayeon. She is not dating me. She is like a sister to me, if anything maybe even a daughter. And she is dating my brother.

Hayeon: Jeno?

Taeyong: You have never met him have you?

Hayeon: Nope. You always only told me of him. Oh and your elder sister too. How is she?

Taeyong: She died... a few days before Doyoung had picked up your call and you... well you lashed out on how you hate me. I was severely injured that day with burns all over my legs...

Hayeon: Oh... I didn't... know.

Taeyong: Yeah... anyway. Doesn't matter... Besides, we are here.

We got out and she looked up at the mansion.

Hayeon: This place is huge.

Taeyong: Yeah come on now.

Hayeon: Wait.

I turned and waited for her to continue.

Hayeon: What about my clothes?

Taeyong: You can borrow Mihyun noona's clothes.
