In 1984, Benny Raymond's father had secured a new job in Hawkins, Indiana. Seeing as they were living in Colorado, the family had to move to the small town. On his first day at Hawkins Middle School, Benny 'met' a fellow new student; Max Mayfield. The two didn't want anything to do with one another and, for the most part, they didn't like each other.
That was before Benny and Max came across a certain group of boys who invited the two to go trick-or-treating with them.
Just a few days after Halloween, things changed for the two, they were introduced to a whole different dimension. In order to stop the monsters of this dimensions, Benny had to befriend Max.
But could this friendship become more?
