Lost one's POV
Today is the first day of my new school. It's been a week since I arrived in Japan but once I get into the school bus, I'm not going to be able to see my parents for 3 more years. Not like I mind finally being away from my loving and controlling family. The school I am going to be joining is ANHS. My parents told me that It's a government owned school and it offers 100% job opportunities and Asian parents surely do love such offers.
But what is even the point of it ? I was surprised on how I was even accepted b the school. My grades are good but there are many students who can do better than that. Some nerds even got 100/100 in the test yet they still were rejected and if I reflect back to my interview there should be no chance for me to be selected.
The modern education system and school creates identical students who are obedient, who are always supposed to play the rules, who never question why are they studying and what is taught to them and who will never get to know what using their brain actually means instead of just using it as a database for lessons taught to them in the name of education. I believe in an ideology where I think every person no matter how useless they may seem at outside is valuable to society and there is always some use for them no matter who they are and the schools..they ruin the possibility of finding something great in the students by forcing their own rules upon the children. All they ever to do to us is waste our time and steal our money yet I'm just another cog in the system who doesn't has any choice.
My thinking is exactly what the factory based model education of schools wishes to reject yet i was accepted by this school... I wonder why.
I entered the bus and took a look around to see if I was the only student in it. Luckily the bus was filled with students who had the same uniform as mine. I found myself finding a seat with a fellow student. As I sat on the seat I looked into his eyes of the brown haired boy and the eyes were looking quite dead. His body looked like he was a strong person and I felt like I surely cannot defeat him in a fight. He stared back at me and to make sure things didn't get awkward I smiled at him.
"Hi, my name is lost one. It's nice to meet you." I said in a cheerful tone despite having a voice people often called dead and offered him a hand shake.
"Kiyotaka ayanokoji, it's nice to meet you too lost-kun" replied the boy with brown hair and let out his hand to shake mine.
As I was about to speak, we heard two people arguing and both of us shifted our gaze to a blond haired guy.
"A perfect existence like mine is not obligated to leave the seat. So why shall I leave it for someone who has lived far more than me anyway ? I will not do something which is not beneficial to me" said the boy with blond hair. Looks like someone here has interesting morals. That lady looks like she genuinely needs the seat and that boy is not willing to let go of the seat even though he is going to be fine without sitting there but it's hard to say the same about that old lady. Let's see how it goes. muhehe
"But shouldn't you stand up and leave it for her, she looks like is in more need of it than you" replied the girl who was looking quite attractive and she also had blonde hair. Her argument wasn't bad but our 'logically correct-kun' was not willing to let go of his seat and no one in the bus dared to challenge his argument, not even the strong boy sitting beside me nor the black haired girl who was sitting in a seat parallel to mine.
"How about you ask other passengers to give up their seat, I'm sure someone else might be feeling generous here" said the blond guy. Looks like it's my time to shine and take the spotlight. The girl turned her gaze and asked everyone in the bus if one of us could leave their seat but to her response there was not even a single soul who stood up and the blonde haired guy gave a strong smirk.
