Lost one's POV

I entered the student council office and in front of me Horikita Manabu was sitting on his chair on the other side of the table. Behind him was tachibana, his secretary. I took a glance at the  table and there were some documents lying there. 'Special Uninhabited Island exam.' was that something related to our future. I pretended to not react like I saw something and kept looking inside the president's eyes

"Take your seat you two. I'm glad to see a developing friendship between you two." he offered. 

Both me and horikita sat next to each other. In front of manabu senpai. 

"Shall we start the interview then ?" "sure" 

"Why do you two wish to join student council ?" he asked. 

"By joining we can provide more to our class, learn new things and be better." both me and horikita said the same thing synchronously. 

"What will you choose, changing yourself or changing the world ?" he asked. Such questions may seem useless at first but it tells us great detail about a person's way of thinking. He was basically asking us what we care about more between our pride and progress

"Change ourselves." Just like the last question we were totally in sync. I had made sure I practiced this interaction with horikita before this meeting. She was acting so timid just to be in font of her brother. It was really a troublesome task for me.

"What was the reason you joined this school Lost one ? I already know my sister's reason, what is yours ?" He asked. 

"As you might have read the files of my interview with the school, I have been fighting various international tournaments ever since I was a child. I had defeated each and every opponent I witnessed. Apart from training I've never lost a single match yet every time a certain person brought his students, I had to push past my limits. Surprisingly every student of that man was Japanese. Those kids used to call him professor and every one of them looked dead from their expressions."

I took a deep breath and continued. 

"I started researching and the only elite teaching facility I found in japan was this school. Even though I could defeat those kids. They seemed better than me in other aspects and it was near to impossible for me to feel superior to them. I read books, talked to famous people and tried learning every practical skill I could, yet their aura and personality seemed different. Like they were from a different reality. I joined the school to interact, learn and grow by meeting such students." I explained. 

"I see, Well I've already seen what you two are capable of. I'm ready to give you the positions of treasurer and suzune is going to be your secretory. Tachibana show them..-" He said. 

"I would like to object, Mr. president. We came here to take the spots of vice president and its secretary." I interjected.

"How..how dare you act rudely in front of Horikita-san, you ..-" Tachibana tried to lash out on us but president lifted his hand and signalled Tachibana to stop. 

"Why do you think you two deserve to be in that position ?" manabu asked. A bright grin appeared on my face and I folded my legs and sat there relaxed.

"There are 3 reasons ni.. Mr president. You have been trying to deal with nagumo senpai since a year and we made your task easier in just a matter of 2 weeks. Our classes figured out about the s-system before any other class in the history of the school and the third reason." She explained and suddenly stopped talking and just smiled looking at her brother. 

She played the recording where manabu senpai asked us to deal with hondo-kun. 

"If you refuse every third year student would know that one of their fellow student was intentionally injured because of student council president. We are going to post it on school forum. Ni-san It's time you accept that we are better than you. Defeating nagumo alone is impossible for you." horikita suzune explained.
