'Y/n, please come in.' The recognisable voice beckoned you into their office.
'Good Day Kujou Sara, what's up?' You asked, sitting on the wooden chair opposite your subordinate.
'Right, so i've brought up an old murder case from around two years back. You'll be working with another detective from the Tenryou commission. You'll meet them tomorrow.' Your eyes lit up at the words. An old murder case? She trusted you with a cold case? The day dragged along, you just aches for time to fly by. You decided to head back home and read over the case files Kujou Sara gave you in order to prepare.
NAME: Hueng Atiro
DoD: 19th November, 19XX
-Murder Case
- U N S O L V E DApart from the name, the death date, the type of case, and the last dictation, there wasn't much information to go on. This is not going to be simple, huh? As you shut the file and collapsed onto your bed, you said to yourself, 'Who am i gonna work with? I should recognise them correctly, someone from the Tenryou commission, right? Who might this individual be?' Detectives were in their millions.
You checked the time while face-palming. 2:30pm. Jeez, time sure did fly.
You made the decision to make some lunch. 'Gah! I feel like i've made everything in this book' You sighed, slamming the book of Inazumian recipes on the counter. To take your mind off things, you headed out to grab some lavender melons to snack on.
Your head spun at the idea of having a partner for the case. You had never worked with anyone before, and preferred it that way. There was only one person who was truly on par with you. Even if you couldn't exactly recall his name, it wouldn't be him. He was constantly working on odd thief cases, therefore he was hardly ever seen in the camp. "Perhaps someone's been transferred here and is formally employed by Kujou Kamaji?" It was strange. Even though you were a highly accomplished investigator, you were unable to figure out who your partner was.
Once you reached a good area to collect a few melons, you reached to pick one off of the tree. Plucking it, you headed to the next tree. 'Weird...there's normally three on each tree?' You muttered to yourself, looking for another melon. As you extended your arm to pick the singular fruit, a swift and snatched it away in an instant. 'Hey! That was mine!' You shouted at the figure who had their back turned towards you. They turned around, a small bag with a few melons which bulked it out. 'Cmon..it's for a commission..and look! You've got..one?' He gestures to your hand. You glared at him, a sense of recognition blossoming in your mind. You narrowed your eyes at the slightly taller man with crimson coloured hair and green eyes. 'I need it. I have literally zero food.' You placed your hand on your hip.
'So do i! Quite frankly, this melon means more to me than it does to you. Just go buy something or get some sunsettias.' He rolled his eyes and walked back off. 'Don't walk away!' You yelled, standing your ground. He didn't stop, just kept walking down the hill. 'Ugh. That dudes a dick.'You were carrying a lone lavender melon, a sunsettia, and a single naku weed as you made your way up to your house as raindrops began to fall on the cobbled path. 'What am I gonna do with this..' You fixed your attention on the available fruit. The door was slammed shut after you crashed through it. Couldn't that man have given you even one melon? Your vision chimed against your handcrafted sword, which was nestled softly yet firmly in its holder, as you placed the fruit onto the side. You grinned a little while glancing down at the purple item around your waist. Because you were a member of the Tenryou Commission, you were able to maintain the electro vision you enjoyed utilising.
Finally, evening came, and you still had some fruit from lunch. You quickly made the decision to start eating the selection. Normally, you would travel to Inazuma City to buy necessary groceries, but you didn't have enough time due to the urgent case you were given. You cleaned the dish and locked the door before entering your bathroom to get ready for bed. It felt like it was 10 o'clock in the evening even though it was only 6 since the October nights were longer. You would at least get a good night's rest, right? It didn't take long for you to fall quickly asleep as you awaited the new day.
You were startled awake by the sounds of birds rustling in a nearby tree. It was time! The fact that you had to associate with another detective made one part of you happy and the other half slightly irritated. You hurried to the bathroom right away to take a shower and get ready. Your attire, which included purple accents, nicely complemented your vision. You got ready and went to Kujou Sara's office after tying a rope bow in your hair and slotting your sword into its righteous place.
Sara welcomed you right away and led you to a seat. 'Hmm, your partner ought to show up at any moment. I'll offer you a private debrief for the time being.' Sara pulled a modest stack of papers from her desk. 'There isn't much information available, which is why I put you and-' The door opened, and a man walked in, interrupting her. 'Right on cue!' She put her papers on the desk and grinned as she observed your confused expression. Oh gosh. Not them. Anyone but them.
