'Heizou! Hurry up'

As usual, Heizou took double the amount of time it took for you to get ready, but on this occasion, it was painstakingly long.

It was the day of the annual Inazuma Firework Festival. You had attended a few before, but Yae Miko tended to stay away from public gatherings such as the firework show. You weren't sure why, but it didn't bother you.

But just the thought of going with Heizou made your heart flutter.

The two of you had commissioned a firework the day before. It wasn't anything special, since there was zero time left, but it seemed as if Ayaka had put a good word in for the two of you to Yoimiya.

You clutched the firework in one hand while tapping your foot on the hard-wood floor. You could already hear the children playing in the street. It made you insanely jealous.

'Don't act like you don't take forever to get ready.' He shouted back in a jokingly tone. 'If you had decided to get ready maybe two hours before we planned to go, we would be there by now!' You retorted. The silence was loud as you crossed your arms. 'Don't roll your eyes at me.' You continued, walking to your, now shared, bedroom.

Heizou was sitting on the bed with two waist bands in his hand. You placed the firework on the table and smirked as you walked up to him.
You sighed dramatically before sitting next to him and placing your head on his shoulder. His body instantly relaxed and you could tell he was smiling.

He always smiled when you were around.

'Choose the red, it matches my outfit' You muttered to him. He pressed his lips to the top of your head and made a 'mwah' sound. You smiled brightly and stood up, placing your hands kn your hips as he tied the band.

Finally.

It was firework time.

You grabbed both of Heizou's hands and pulled him outside, a humid breeze hitting your skin. Heizou laughed as you continued to pull him along eagerly.

The market stalls were bustling with different items. There were more sticks of dango than you could possibly imagine. Heizou's eyes mirrored yours as you looked up to him.

After buying a stick of dango each, you found a place to sit to watch the fireworks. It wasn't too busy, but you could still hear the noises of the street.

'Okay! Firework, stat!' You questioned him like a doctor. Heizou's eyebrows furred as he patted his pockets. 'Uh yeah, it's not in here..' Your head flicked towards him. 'Oh archons..i left it at home..' You flunked onto the floor, twiddling some grass in your hands. 'Love, its alright, i'll go fetch it, we still have time.' Heizou kissed your temple as scurried off towards the house.

Heizou's POV

It was very easy to get lost in the busy streets of Inazuma City, especially on a night like this, but the way to my house is perfectly ingrained in my memory. The bustle of people died down as i approached the side wall of our house.
As i stop to grab my keys from my pocket, i feel two hands wrap around my wrists and push me to the wall. My hands are now above my head and i look up to see

Etsu.

'Look! We haven't seen eachother in a while..' She pouts and drags out each vowel. The thought of her makes my stomach churn.

She's the complete opposite of Y/n.

Y/n is my sun to each of my planets.

Etsu is just a meer asteroid, heading straight towards me.

'Etsu let go!' I shout and she shushes me. It's not like anyone can hear, the voices of every citizen drown out our sounds. She takes a step forward and our faces are inches apart. I just hate it. With every bone in my body.

I hear footsteps in the distance, too close to be from the centre of the city but too far to see us. That's when i realise the time. I should have been back by now. I should have been ready to release fireworks with Y/n.

'Heizou!? 'Zouu...where are you...' I hear Y/n call out. I try to look around for where she is. 'Zou the fireworks are about to..oh..' She whispers the last part, but it doesn't matter. As soon as she finishes, what seem like thousands of fireworks explode in a matter of seconds.

I try to shake free but Etsu seems to notice both my actions and Y/n's lingering eyes.

'Oh.. Y/n! What a..surprise..' Etsu sneers, looking her way.
