It hadn't been long since Sabito has been assigned as the water pillar. Giyuu was the ‘second water pillar’ even though it wasn't a thing before them.
Even though everyone knew that Giyuu was a pillar in a way... He didn't accepted it and called himself, “just a Kinoe who got permission to join pillar meetings.”And whenever he was called the second pillar, he would point out how he wasn't given a single area to protect like the other pillars, because he wasn't exactly the water pillar.
So after sometime, they decided it's better to leave him be.Both, Sabito and Giyuu also tried to get along well with other pillars, but it wasn't an easy task.
One day, the master called them to discuss something.
“You called, Oyakata-Sama? ” asked Sabito.
“Yes... ” said Kagaya, “You see, there have been a lot of demon attacks lately. So many demon slayers have been injured. That's why the Butterfly Estate is running low on people right now. Considering that you aren't on a mission currently, I would suggest you to help your comrades out... However, this is only a suggestion. You can also refuse to volunteer. ”
“Surely, we would like to help. ”
“Excellent! That's what I expected from you. ”
After coming out of the Demon Slayer HQ, Sabito didn't dare to look at Giyuu, knowing he's surely about to get punched now..
“Sure! We would like to help!” he sarcastically imitates Sabito, “Did you had to say that?!”
“So... You won't help your allies?” asked Sabito, trying to make it sound like a ‘responsible demon slayer decision’.
“I would.. But, you don't have to be so vibrant all the time.. It's as if we're agreeing to help them when we are simply just helping fellow corps’ members.”
“Come on. It won't hurt to be nicer, you know?”
“*Sigh* If you say so, Sabito.”
They soon arrived at the Butterfly Mansion. Even though Giyuu had an argument with Sabito earlier, both of them knew that he would have also made the same decision to come here.
The Flower Pillar, Kanae Kocho, welcomed both of them. Her little sisters, Shinobu Kocho and Kanao Tsuyuri were standing besides her. They also noticed a girl, no more than 13-14 years old, wearing a standard demon slayer uniform.
“Welcome to the Butterfly Mansion~ This is a healing place for injured demon slayers or people affected by demon attacks. Unfortunately, we are short on helping hands right now, but I really appreciate you volunteered to help us.” said Kanae.
“No worries. We're always ready to help our companion Demon Slayers.” said Sabito.
“Sister.. We don't have much time for chatting. The injured are waiting for us.” said Shinobu.
“I understand. We should head inside now. It's not nice to leave the patients waiting for long.”
Kanae always had a smile on her face. She seemed to have a very comforting personality for which she would say, “It's a part of my work. The injured are already going through a lot of stress. Healing physical wounds alone isn't enough, so we have to treat their mental wounds too, by giving them proper care and tending to their feelings. After all, laughter IS said to be the best medicine.”
Shinobu, however, was quite the opposite of her sister. She was a bit short-tempered. But Kanae had explained them that it's because Shinobu works really hard to treat the injured.
Aoi Kanzaki, the girl wearing the standard demon slayer uniform used to practice water breathing and had passed the final selection recently. But she said she had passed on pure luck and was not willing to fight demons anymore. So she chose to become a helper in the Butterfly Mansion, helping the injured Demon Slayers instead. She used to talk about herself as if she was not even a bit important and a coward, too. Sabito had tried to encourage her and told her to stop thinking bad about herself for everyone in the Demon Slayer Corps may not be interested in directly fighting the demons. Healing the injured is also important. But nothing could change Aoi's mind.
