TW; blood & gore—pretty graphic
CAIUS STEPS INTO THE FEEDING ROOM, STEPPING OVER THE STAINED DRAIN AND SKIPPING UP THE STAIRS.
Aro watches Caius, studying his complacent smile taking up his face. "How is Sienna? Still insulting you?"
"Just the opposite." The second the words slip out of Caius' mouth, Marcus sees the bonds attached to Sienna grow bright on his blonde brothers end, making him curious.
Her scent was also very heavy on Caius, and quite fresh.
"What did you two do?" Marcus puts a faux smile on his lips. He's not upset that Caius spent the night in Sienna's room, he just hates how smug his brother gets.
"We discussed some things, she would like to use her gift today, so I gave her some very compelling suggestions." He leans back in his throne, "I'm supposed to have a guard fetch her once we have found somebody."
"Somebody? She wishes to use a human?" Aro asks, beyond confused. Aro has watched Sienna shift from a woman who feels nothing, to one who feels everything—she became so emotionless strictly so she wouldn't feel the guilt held deep in her heart, her father was a big part of the numb, empty soul, too.
So, of course, it's strange to hear that Sienna wants to practice her gift on a living human.
Caius shakes his head, "Not a conscious human, one who will not feel anything."
"She will still be taking a life, she has grown to detest herself because she killed so many." Aro argues. "What if this wrecks her?"
Caius sighs, "She will be fine, if she isn't, we'll be there to calm her down."
"That's not the point, Caius." Aro rebukes, now worrying obsessively over how Sienna will react once she's actually standing in front of the human, about to take their life. "She's still fragile."
"She assured me that she would be fine, was I supposed to not trust her word? Let us see what happens." Caius isn't as argumentative now, he understands what Aro means, but he also trusts Sienna's judgement.
Marcus stays silent, ambivalent about the whole situation. He hasn't seen into Sienna's mind like Aro has, but he knows how distressed she was, he would absolutely hate to have to see her like that again.
"How are we supposed to get her a human, anyways?" Marcus finally speaks up, curious to hear Caius' seemingly disastrous plan.
"I figured we could just steal one from feeding, Heidi is almost back with our meals." Caius answers, tapping his slender fingers on the armrest.
