"YOU WERE GATHERED TODAY SO WE CAN DISCUSS SOME THINGS." Aro announces to the group of vampires with no enthusiasm, instead with a monotonous tone and emotionless face.

"Theres been some trouble in Bulgaria and we suspect its the work of a coven, so a group will be sent out to spectate the situation and intervene if needed." Aro continues, his dull eyes sweeping over the faces of the guard members. "Jane and Alec already volunteered."

"I'd like to volunteer, too." Santiago speaks up, garnering Aros attention.

The king raises his eyebrow. "Would you? I was already planning on sending Demetri and Felix with them."

"Well, its just nice to get out of the castle sometimes, right?" Santiago asks and then chuckles awkwardly when Aro doesn't say anything. "If you could please add me on to the group, my king—it would be greatly appreciated."

Aro doesn't feel like speaking anymore, really just wanting to go back to his chambers and replaying his montage of memories made by Sienna inside his mind, so he just nods. "Very well."

Santiago dips his head into a bow. "Thank you, Il mio re."

"Leave now." Aro speaks directly to the group he is sending to Bulgaria, he doesn't wait for them to respond before turning back to his throne.

The group bows to the kings one last time before disappearing, every other vampire crammed into the room follows after.

The kings themselves just sit in silence, not even breathing and hardly moving. Their minds are occupied with thoughts of Sienna, each varying given their different memories of her.

They rarely even speak to each other anymore, having nothing to say — when they did talk, it was about only one topic; Sienna, questions and sometimes hope that one day she'll return — but they hadn't talked about her in a few days or so.

They spend most of their days alone, each using different ways of remembering her.

Caius takes his anger and sadness out onto a canvas or a human, either draining their blood or painting for hours upon hours. The paintings always somehow turn into Sienna, no matter how it started.

Marcus has spent the past months in her room, reading the books she had read and imagining discussing them with her, her theories and opinions. Hes reread those books multiple times by now.

And Aro just replays her memories and thoughts in his mind, rewinding and reveling in them over and over again. Sometimes he fears he'll run out of them, he doesn't know what he would do if that happened.
