Chapter 1: Unfair Life
A 4 year old boy was walking into the Quirk Clinic, followed by two adults. One had black hair, and a hairstyle similar to Izuku, while the other was a green skinned AND green haired woman. They were taking their son in to see what kind of quirk he had.
"Don't run too fast Izuku," The woman known as Ming said. This woman was Izuku's mother.
Izuku was at the doctor's office waiting for his quirk diagnosis. He was hopping in his chair, waiting for the results. He was hoping that he would have a cool quirk like his father, or something similar to what Ming was able to do. After a few minutes the doctor came out from his private office, after finishing up the results from his tests on Izuku. He was bald and had a weird mustache. From the look of his face, he really hated his job.
"So what's my quirk gonna be?" Izuku asked, "I wanna become a great hero like All Might!"
"Sorry kid, you don't have a quirk," he said.
Izuku dropped his All Might figure on the floor due to the shock of the sudden news.
"Is there something wrong with him? All his classmates have gotten their quirks." Ming asked in a sad tone, as she rubbed the head of her son in an attempt to comfort him.
"Well, if you look here, Izuku has a double joint in his pinky toe. This causes a person to not have a quirk. So if you are hoping to be a hero, I'm sorry. It's just not gonna happen." The doctor replied.
Izuku was saddened by this. His face fell, and tears started to drop to the floor. Just the fact that he wouldn't have something that everyone else had was enough to shatter the boy's spirit. Ming rubbed his back trying to make him feel better, but her effort was all in vain.
"Thank you doctor." Ming said as the two walked out.
Her husband overheard the entire conversation, and shot Izuku a glare. The boy was very depressed by the events that recently happened. He locked himself in his room and cried himself to sleep.
The next day, Hisashi had Izuku get up and go to his car. He was driving him somewhere but Izuku hadn't a clue where. After a few minutes, he stopped at some kind of building. A woman came out. When Izuku took a look at the woman, he was intimidated, as she looked like she was the type of person to rule with an iron fist.
"This must be Izuku," she said, "My name is Ms Chan, welcome to your new home."
Izuku was confused at this. He tried to understand this information, but he was so confused as to what exactly was going on.
"N-new home?" Izuku asked.
He turned to see Hisashi in the car, and rushed towards him.
"Daddy where are you going?" Izuku asked.
Hisashi didn't say a single word. He just drove off without even saying goodbye. Izuku chased after him but was inevitably stopped by Ms Chan, who held his hand, preventing him from moving any further. Tears streamed down the poor boy's eyes as he watched his father drive away.
"D-don't leave me...." he cried.
Whether he Liked it or not, this was Izuku's new home. He was torn apart from his friends and family in the space of a moment. For the next 4 years in his life, he had to deal with the torment and neglect of his peers. Some of the students called him names, and teased him about his parents 'abandoning' him. Some of them even used their quirks on poor Izuku, just for dreaming of being a hero without a quirk. Of course he would try to ignore these facts at first, but they always found a way to get back at him. Did the teachers ever try to help him? NO!
In fact, some of them even took part in the ridicule of the young boy. But there was one boy who stood up for him from time to time. A boy named Shen. His quirk allowed him to turn matter into objects. The two of them were friends for a year, until he was adopted by a family.
Izuku thought this was going to be his life until the day he died. However, something was going to change that.
A day came when Izuku was at the playground keeping to himself, as usual. A shimmering light in the dirt caught his eye, and the ever-curious boy couldn't resist investigating it.. Izuku pulled out what seemed to be a capsule, and opened it. Inside were 10 rings. They had a shining glimmer of blue and green, like they were little lava lamps. They attached themselves onto Izuku. He started to see things he never saw before. At the center of it all was a man, who was dressed as if he were some kind of hero, and also had short hair. He was also Asian, and had rings that looked identical to the rings that Izuku had.
'Whoever holds these rings, you have been chosen to wield them, to battle a great threat," he said, "I am the past user Shang Chi.'
Izuku recognized that name. He was one of the heroes who joined in the battle against Texas Chainsaw.
'My father first had these rings, and used them for conquest, and then I used them, to protect those against the forces of evil. These rings will grant you many capabilities people only dream of, and more,; Shang-Chi explained, 'For now, you must train with these rings, in order to master their power. Good luck, future warrior.'
The visions ceased without further warning. The 8 year old had tears in his eyes and a smile on his face. He was confused by this, and wasn't sure what to do. For the time being he refrained from using the rings.
However as he watched the TV and saw people trying their hardest to become heroes, he suddenly remembered the dream he had about being a hero. And he wasn't going to let the fact that he had no quirk stop him from achieving that dream.
He spent every recess break finding a location away from his peers to train with the rings. At first it was a bit difficult, as he had no idea how to even use them. After a bit of time he started throwing a few punches. One of the rings flew off his arm like a projectile and came flying straight back to him. He learned he could also use them like whips and other things. The rings also allowed him to emit blasts of energy, and create barriers to protect himself.
Back at Hisashi's place, he would frequently get visits from the Bakugos, the Todorokis, and the Yagis asking if Izuku could come and play. However Hisashi would tell them he was too busy 'training', or that he was 'grounded' for bad behavior and withheld the truth about him being sent to foster care. The Yagi's daughter, Izumi, was starting to get suspicious, because she knew that Izuku was not the type of person to act disobedient. He was too innocent. Ming wanted to explain what happened, however Hisashi forbade her from leaking out anything, threatening to beat her harshly if she didn't comply.
Back at the foster care, the 8 year old Izuku finally had enough of the neglect and abuse. And so when nobody was looking, he used the rings to escape the home, and started running as fast as he could, not looking back for even a second! He wasn't going to stay in that hellhole any longer.
