Chapter 5: The Date

Izuku was in his room drawing sketches and ideas for his hero costume. Later he got a message from Ochako.

'Hey Izuku!'

Izuku texted back.

'Hey Ocha. What's going on?'

'You tell me Mr. One for all.'

Izuku was surprised she knew.

'Wait... how do you know about that?'

'Don't be mad... but I overheard your conversation with your dad. But don't worry your secret is safe.'

'Thanks for the good news.'

Izuku knew he had to ask the question.

'Hey Ochako, are you free this weekend?'

Ochako was surprised by this question.

'Well I was wondering.... would you like to check out a movie with me?'

Ochako blushed at that question. She then texted:

'......Like a date?'

'Yes, if you want to use that term.'

Izuku waited a few seconds for a response. His phone vibrated.

'I'd love to.'

Izuku cheered silently. Later on Izuku was washing some dishes. Inko noticed he was in a good mood.

"You seem happy Izuku," Inko said, "Did something happen?"

"Well, aside from completing my duty of clearing the trash from Degobah Beach, nothing out of the ordinary," Izuku stated, "That and I do have a date coming up."

Inko stopped in her tracks.

"Did you say... you have a date?" Inko asked.

"........I shouldn't have said that," Izuku said.

"Nope. RUN!!!" Izumi said.

Izuku started running but inko catches him pulling him into a bear hug shaking him wildly

"AHHHHH!! MY BABY BOY'S GOT A DATE!!!!" Inko said

"Mom! Can't breathe!" Izuku said.

Inko soon let go of him so he could breathe.

"So what plans do you have?" Izumi asked with curiosity.

"We're just going to see a movie," Izuku said.

"Well, hopefully you two have fun," Inko said, "I know I did when I had my first date with Toshi. Right dear?"

She and Toshi made love noises, grossing Izuku and Izumi out.

"Bard," They said in unison.

"Well, looks like Katsuki owes me money."

"What do you mean?" Izuku asked her.

"We had a bet that those two would start dating before UA but he thinks they're too shy around each other." Izumi said.

"I bet they'll be coming back with Young Izuku carrying Young Ochako bridal style!" Toshinori said with a smirk.

A few days later, Izuku was waiting for his date at the mall. He was playing Candy Crush on his phone to pass the time. He was excited but at the same time he was nervous as hell. He had on an outfit that Inko and Mitsuki picked out for him, consisting of white and green striped dress shirt, and some green pants.

"Deku!" called out a familiar voice.

Izuku turned to see his date arriving. Ochako was wearing a pink blouse with blue jeans and some white shoes. Izuku could only blush and smile at how cute she looked.

"H-hey Ochako!" Izuku said clearly nervous.

"Hey Deku!" Ochako said. "Are you ready?"

"Of course," he answered, "You look beautiful."

This earned a giggle from the brunette.

"And you look adorable," she said with a smile, "Your hair is so cute."

"It took my mom 10 minutes to do my hair," Izuku told her.

They walked over to the mall where the theater was. It was pretty crowded, especially since it was on a weekend. Izuku and Ochako were watching a movie starring Death Arms as the main character. The film was epic and Izuku enjoyed every minute of it. He then went on a muttering storm much to her amusement. Later on they decided to take on the sights of the mall, and even took a few selfies together.

"Aww, we look cute," Izuku said.

"Yea hehe," Ochako said with a smile, "So what's your goal for being a hero?"

"Well, I've seen people without quirks be treated like crap. I was unfortunately one of those people. So I wanna be someone people can count on and show them they can be a hero, with or without a quirk."

"That's very nice. My reason for being a hero isn't all that great..."

"Well what is your reason?"

"Promise you won't laugh?"

Izuku nodded.

"Well, I wanna be a hero to make money. My parents and I are almost poorer than dirt, and my parents made a lot of sacrifices for me. I wanna return the favor by giving them an easy life."

"That's a very inspiring goal."

Later they decided to get some food before heading back. Ochako got herself some mochi with her food for desert while Izuku had a bowl of Katsudon. Ochako had to take care of some business.

"I'll be back," she said.

When Ochako was gone, Izuku took some money and paid the bill. Ochako came back to where Izuku was.

"Well ready to go?" Izuku asked.

"But we still gotta pay," Ochako said.

"No we don't, I took care of it," Izuku said with a smile.

"Izuku that's so sweet," Ochako said, "You didn't have to."

Later on Izuku and Ochako were walking back to the apartment.

"You know Izuku you really didn't have to do that."

"I know, but I wanted to. To thank you for your kindness and compassion and support for me wanting to be a hero without a quirk.... Well I got a quirk now but still.."

Ochako giggled.

"Deku you deserve all of the kindness," Ochako said, "You're kind, strong, brave, smart, and on top of that you're cute. It's one of the reasons I developed a crushes on you."

Izuku smiled.

"Really?" he asked.

"Yea," Ochako said, "I've had my eye on you for a minute hehe. I should thank you for this amazing date. It's my first one ever."

"You're welcome," Izuku told her.

Ochako then approached the future pro with a smile. She stood on her tiptoes and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"So does this..... Make us a couple?" Izuku asked.

"Yea," Ochako does, "Yes it does."

She went back to her room and Izuku stood there a blushing mess. KAtsuki, Inko, Toshinori and Mistuki were secretly watching the events unfold.

"Ha! Pay up hag!" Katsuki said.

"Oh shut up brat!" Mitsuki said as she handed him money.

"I'm saving this as my wallpaper! My baby boy got a girlfriend!" She said with tears of happiness.
