Shen was at the foster care home,playing with his friends when he saw a woman who was thinking about her adoption. This woman was dressed in police wear and had a ponytail. Shen approached the woman with a smile.
"You're pretty." He said getting her attention.
The woman turned around and noticed the boy who made the compliment. She then bent down and smiled at him.
"Why thank you. My name is Emika."
"I'm Shen and I wanna be a hero one day."
"That's wonderful," Emi told him, "And what's your quirk?"
"I can make objects." Shen told her while creating a sword from programmable matter
Emika was impressed by this.
"Can you also make armor?" she asked in curiosity, "Like Nano Armor with your quirk."
"Nano armor?" Shen asked.
"Armor to protect yourself." She stated, "like when cops wear vests for protection."
"Are you a cop, miss?"
"What makes you think that?"
"Well female cops usually wear a button shirt and tie."
"Well, my quirk is called bullseye. It's kinda like the pro hero, Snipe." She noted.
"Oooh cool. You could take out bad guys from afar! Like the vigilante Lady Nagant."
"Yeah! Like Lady Nagant. By the way, I think I know what your hero name should be." Emi told him.
"What's that?" Shen asked.
"Senator. For when you make nano armor and have someone punch you without you being fazed at all and they wonder why you won't go down you just shout out NANO MACHINES, SON!" She told him.
Shen laughed at that.
"I'd always like to save a cop in the future."
Emi smiled and got an Idea.
"Well why don't we make that a reality," she said.
Later on Emi was behind some kids pretending to be bad guys. She was pretending to be tied up as she was surrounded.
"We got you now copper" one of them said
"Oh help me someone!" Emika said playfully.
Shen and his friend Izuku jumped into action.
"Have no fear hero cop, for we have arrived!" Shen said
Shen rushed and jumped over to Emika's side and hugged her.
"You're safe now ma'am!" he said in a heroic tone.
Emika picked up the boy, and hugged him back while smiling.
"My little heroes!" She said.
She started growing an attraction towards the little boy. She could tell he was going to achieve greatness in the future. Days turned to weeks as Emika visited the Foster Home just to spend time with the young boy.
When she visited she would also give Shen some pointers on how to use his quirk, and he would put her advice to good use. Shen started enjoying her company and started seeing her as a mother figure in his life. After another week passed by, Emika then came to a conclusion.
One day she came back to the orphanage. Shen rushed over to the officer and hugged her legs.
"Hi Miss Emika!" he said.
"Oh there's no need to call me that," she said, "I think now you can call me.... Mom."
"What do you mean?" he asked.
"Well, Shen. How do you feel about me adopting you?" Emi asked him.
A huge smile appeared on his face.
