Chapter 3: True acceptance

The next day, Hisashi got up from bed and went to get the morning paper. He was humming to himself while doing so. When he looked up, he saw a crowd of angry people, some of which were pro heroes.

"Um........ Hi."

One person stepped up and shot him a glare. He seemed like a very tired man, but a very serious pro hero. When he heard the story about what Hisashi did, he was beyond livid!

"You're a very irrational person," he said.

A few seconds later, Recovery Girl and Gran Torino arrived at the scene.

"I assume Toshinori told you what happened?" Recovery girl asked.

"He told me everything."

"What's all this about?!" Hisashi asked, "Who the hell are you people!?"

"Now don't act like you don't know you damn hypocrite! Or do we have to refresh your mind?" Gran Torino asked.

"What are you talking about?" Hisashi asked.

Recovery Girl whacked Hisashi with her cane.

"This is about your son, you fire breathing deadbeat!" She shouted, "I can't believe you sent your own son to foster care over not having a quirk!"

"I did him a favor," Hisashi said, "The world was gonna reject him for even dreaming of such an impossible thing! A hero without a superpower? Be realistic!"

Mitsuki's son, Katsuki stepped forward.

"Wanna hear impossible? Feeling explosions and not feeling pain!" Said Katsuki.

"Um, someone arrest this boy, he just threatened me!" Hisashi said.

The tired man then used his quirk and erased Hisashi's quirk.

"Go crazy," he said to the boy.

"You wouldn't dare! I have authority!" Hisashi said.

"You have the authority to SHUT THE FUCK UP AND GET BLASTED!!!

He started letting loose with explosions. Another boy, the son of Endeavor used the ice part of his quirk.

"That man is a rotten bastard, and that's coming from me," he said.

"Where is the boy?" Hisashi asked.

"Like you have the right to know," Recovery girl said

"And we're gonna make sure he stays far away from you," Aizawa said.

Meanwhile with Toshinori and Inko...

"Hey! Izuku! Come down here! We have something to show you!" Inko shouted, entering the house.

Izuku came down to the living room

"What is it?" he asked.

"Well..." Toshinori then showed Izuku some adoption forms that he had.

Izumi was overjoyed. The person she saw as a brother is gonna be her actual brother.Izuku jumped into Inko's arms and hugged her.

"Thank you..." he said with tears streaming down

There was a knock on the door. Izuku opened it and it revealed the Bakugos, the Todorokis and Gran Torino and Recovery Girl. By their side was someone who Izuku knew well.

"Kacchan? Shoto?!" Izuku asked, "Shen?!"

"Hey there, Deku!" Katsuki said. "It's been awhile!"

"Try 4 years!" Izuku said as he hugged the two.

"We heard what your father did," Recovery girl, "We're sorry about what you went through."

"Its ok... you didn't know," Izuku said.

"What your father did, it was unforgivable," Enji said, "It makes me want to be a better father for my children."

Some other people came by, they were staff of the school U.A.

"Izuku, I should assume you know some of these heroes?" Inko asked.

Izuku nodded and went to the girl with purple hair.

"Nemuri Kayama, Midnight," Izuku said before going to the guy who looks like stone., "Ken Ishiyama, Cementos! And Shota Aizawa, eraserman."

"Eraserhead actually," Aizawa said, "This kid is smart. Are you sure his power isn't super knowledge?"

"Or super adorableness?" Nemuri asked as she rubbed her cheek against the boy, "He's so cute!!"

"Good grief Nemuri," Aizawa said while face palming himself, "Must you do this with every child?"

"So this is the young boy you adopted," said a voice.

Everyone looked to see a bear-mouse creature walking forward. This was Principal Nezu, the principal of U.A.

"Principal Nezu, glad to see you're doing well," Inko said.

"Would it be ok if I see this power for myself?" Principal Nezu asked.

"I would but... I don't wanna destroy the house, and it would tick off Mom and Dad."

"He's not wrong," Toshinori said.

"I have an idea," Cementos said, "Follow me."

They all followed Cementos outside. He developed an obstacle course for Izuku.

"Now show us what you can do."

Everyone was watching as Izuku demonstrated what he could do with the rings. He was capable of shooting the rings as projectiles from his hands. Izuku then brought the rings back and spun them around as if he were a telepath, creating a barrier around him. He also concentrated energy from the rings and shot 3 green energy blasts.

Inko and Toshinori were already amazed before. Izuku was also able to use the rings to create some kind of energy whip, and emit shockwaves. The staff of U A saw everything Izuku did, and reacted with Awe.

"Awwwwwww," they said.

Uhhhhhh, I mean Awe. A. W. E.

"Ooooohhhhhhh," they said.

That's more like it.

"Hm... I've heard of these rings before, but where did you find the rings?" Nezu asked.

"They were in some old chest I found near.... that place," Izuku said

"I see. I suppose I shouldn't ask anymore questions." Nezu said. "Anyway, do you have anymore abilities with these rings?"

"Not that I know of," he answered.

"Well since you're wanting to be a hero I think I can convince people to let you in on recommendation and..."

"No." Izuku said with a determined smile.

Everyone was surprised by this.

"Izuku, why did you refuse?" Inko asked.

"Because I don't wanna cheat my way to the top," Izuku said, "I want to earn my path to become a hero through hard work."

"That's the spirit Izuku!" Izumi said.

"If you get into U.A we're gonna be friendly rivals," Katsuki said with a smirk, "And who knows? Maybe you'll get popular with the ladies."

"I think Shoto already has that covered," Izuku stated.

"Oh don't sell yourself short Onee-chan," Izumi told him while patting his back, "Aside from having a great power, you're smart, funny, and adorable!"

"Yea, maybe find a girl who loves you for who you are," Recovery Girl said.

Izuku was smiling and tears streamed down his face because of how happy he was.

"What's wrong?" Inko asked.

"You all believe in me, when my own parents didn't," Izuku said, "Thank you all..."

Toshinori and Inko hugged their new son. They were now one happy family who loved and supported Izuku, quirk or no quirk. Toshinori looked to Gran Torino who nodded knowing what he was planning.
