We both ignore what happened between us earlier. Do I regret it? no. Do I regret what I said afterwards? Maybe? Only because they made me sound desperate and I am anything but desperate.

Over the next few hours we chat about our childhoods. The positives, at least. She learns about me as a person. At one point she looked almost intent on keeping a straight face but when I told her the story of how I tried to send andrew in a food donations box to the kingdom when we were children she couldnt help but crack one of her lopsided grins.
I definetly feel the weight this champagne has on me. Who knew you could be drunk off of it...
"Are you okay annalise?"
"whoo me? Im havinagrandoltime."
The words jumble coming off my lips and i offer her a lazy twist of my lips.
"Oh wow, is this the first time youve ever had alcohol?"
"whaaaaaat? noo!"
adrienne focuses on me with slight concern.
"alright i think its time we head out. Ill text my guards to run a bath for you so its ready when we get home."
"no adrienne. I dont wannnaa leave yet!"
"Cmon princess lets go"
Reluctantly i get out of my chair. The world is spinning in such a sense that it causes me a slight ache on my temples.
When I open my eyes again everything is facing the right way so I start to walk. I feel like a baby giraffe. Even with all my etiquette training, my legs dont seem to want to work how im ordering them to.
Hands on my waist remind me that im not alone.
"Lets get you home"
"noo stopp. I can walk!"
I lazily smack her hands off of me
We walk down the gravel path, back the way we came. Let me rephrase that. She walks, I stumble. When my heel gets momentarily stuck i lurch forward but catch myself.
"Im fine. Im fineee!"
Adrienne looks at me unamused and lets me walk by myself. The next time my foot gets caught however I do not save myself in time and neither does she. My feet fall out from under me and i hit the gravel. I look up at her and we both burst into laughter but that quickly subsides when I roll to get up and roll down the embankment.
"Annalise!"
I let out a shriek before I reach the bottom. My head hits off of a rock near my right temple. Owie
Closing my eyes I let myself sleep for what feels like a few seconds before im RUDELY woken up.
"fuck fuck fuck. Annalise are you okay?"
I close my eyes and hold my breath and she rolls me onto my back to assess me. I feel her kneel down on the grass beside me probably getting that expensive suit dirty.
She leans into my face and puts her ear beside my nose. Still holding my breath, she begins to panic.
"No! FUCK annalise wake up darling. Wake up. Please"
